Die Cut negative card
A few weeks ago, I posted a butterfly die cut card that I am teaching at my Ink blending class this week, and tonight I made a card using the negative "insides" of the butterflies. Yes... this was finicky! I kept all the little bits, recut the butterfly image in black, and then inlaid the bits inside to make my pretty butterflies.

Wine cards
I had a little time to play with some new things this week - Tim Holtz Blueprint mini stamps: Wine, and a new-to-me My Favorite Things stamp set called "Uncorked" (a whole bunch of fun wine themed sentiments). I also played around with my Oxide Distress inks, doing an ombre blend of Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade & Wild Honey:
I experimented a little with water spatters, and some gold paint spatters...
And I am in love with these "Hemstitch Rectangle" dies from Spellbinders! I love the effect.
Next up will be the Tim Holtz Beer Blueprint minis, so stay tuned :o)

Snowmen Christmas
I was still in need of several Christmas cards, so I went for a fairly simple design that I could reproduce easily (I made six of these!). I picked out some Basic Grey paper from a few years ago, and let the paper do all the talking:
Patterned paper is Figgy Pudding, Basic Grey; Cardstock is Black, Kraft & White Daisy, CTMH; Stamp set is Scandinavian Wishes, CTMH; Let it Snowflake dies, MFT; Matte silver sequins, CTMH.

Halloween cards
I'm in a Halloween mood right now - so I'm going to share a couple of Halloween cards with you. There are brand new Try-fold and Windows to the World sets available now on the Art Impressions website, so today I'm sharing Eerie Cheery Window (Sku #M4690):
I started by gluing an orange circle die cut onto the front of my card, and then used the Window Die (Sku #4619) to cut my opening. Once the opening was there, I positioned my image underneath it and glued it down to the inside of my card. It's a little clearer to see the card when I hold it shut:This card was definitely inspired by my teammate Diane - she did the cutest pumpkin shaped card with this stamp & die - you can see her card here!
My second card is the brand new Haunted House TF (Sku #4688):
These images were so awesome to colour! And all three of them would work just fine on their own, on a card. Here's the inside - the haunted house is my favourite:
Copics used: Greys - W7, W5, W3, W1, W00
Oranges - YR18, YR16, YR15, YR12, YR00
Greens - YG07, YG05, YG03, YG01
Purples - BV08, BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, BV000
Browns - E57, E55, E53, E51, E50
Blues - B28, B26, B24, B23, B21
Yellows - Y38, Y35, Y32

Snowman card
Hello everyone! I am sharing one of the 2014 holiday stamp sets from Art Impressions on the One Crazy Stamper store blog today: Season's Greetings Set. I went with a fairly muted colour scheme to go with the teals/taupes/rusty reds in my patterned papers.
I stitched all of my panels with my sewing machine (my favourite thing to do on a card!) and added a few die cut snowflakes in coordinating papers as an embellishment. Fairly simple layout, and it is nice and flat for mailing! We hope you'll join in our November challenge on the One Crazy Stamper blog - it's anything goes, just no digi stamps, please! You can link up your creation here.

Graphic Birthday
Just another quick card that I made this week for a family birthday. I'd had the zigzag die cuts sitting on my desk for a while - they're negative die cuts from a card that I made a while ago. I just received the "happy" die, and thought that they'd all work well together:
Zigzag die, My Favortie Things; Happy die, Avery Elle; Stamp is Say It In Style, CTMH; Cardstock is White Daisy, Black, Moonlight, Tulip, Sorbet & Creme Brulee - all CTMH; Enamel Dots, Your Next Embellie.

Dynamic Duos #46
It's Dynamic Duos challenge time! And you get to have a little input into our colour scheme this week, as we are featuring projects made with Primrose Petals and a "colour of your choice!". So I had fun with a new 6x6 paper pack from Carta Bella that I recently acquired. I decided to go with a soft grass green colour, and went die-crazy using five different dies on my card today. This little pinwheel die is so fun, and works especially well with double sided paper:
If you don't have the exact colour, just use something similar. We ask that you only use the two colours on your card, but neutrals are welcome. Check out the Dynamic Duos blog to see all the fabulous inspiration from my fellow Dynamos... or you can see them listed on my sidebar. Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend!
Patterned papers are Carta Bella; Stamp set and Pinwheel die are L'il Inkers; Picket Fence die and Cloud Duo dies are Taylored Expressions; Icicle Border die is My Favourite Things; Cardstock is Slate, Cotton Candy & White Daisy, CTMH; Bigger brad, CTMH; Ink is Black and Cotton Candy, CTMH.

Dynamic Duos
I'm a little late with my post - my internet has been acting up! We have a lovely colour combo this week at Dynamic Duos: Sahara Sand and Cherry Cobbler. Each week we post a new colour combo on the Dynamic Duos blog, and we'd like you to use just those two colours plus neutrals if you like (black/greys/kraft/skin tones etc). If you don't have the exact colours, just use something similar to play along. I used a little Dakota paper and cut out a snowflake border with the Art Philosophy cartridge:

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Dynamos have come up with - you can visit the Dynamic Duos blog, or see the list of blogs on my sidebar. Get busy creating! We'd love to see what you come up with :o)
Patterned paper is Dakota, CTMH; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Stamp sets are Hot Cocoa, My Favourite Things and Winter Wonderland, CTMH; Copic markers; Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, CTMH; Martha Stewart's coarse glitter.

One Crazy Stamper June Sketch
The One Crazy Stamper design team blog has a June sketch challenge that I wanted to participate in, so I took the chance to do a little paper piecing to put together a card with a little attitude:
I am lucky enough to live close to the One Crazy Stamper store in Bolton... but if you're a little farther away, check them out online, they carry a huge selection of papercrafting products.
Patterned papers are Schoolhouse, October Afternoon; Cardstock is Outdoor Denim & Sunflower, CTMH; Stamp set is Cute-a-tude by My Favorite Things; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Copic markers.

Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT)
I've been able to participate in the Sketch For You To Try challenges for November & December, and hope to do all 12 of them next year. This is one of the first times that I've used my Copics to colour a card! I'm fairly pleased with the result - practise makes perfect, so I plan to keep working at it on upcoming projects. Here's what I came up with:
I added some clear buttons to my snowflakes, and sparkled them up a bit:
Patterned papers are Nordic Holiday, Basic Grey; Stamp set is Knit Happens, My Favorite Things; Ink is Memento Black; Copic Markers; Cardstock is Outdoor Denim & White Daisy, CTMH; Clear buttons, CTMH: Martha Stewart coarse glitter.
