Coffee Lover's Hop - Third Post

Another one... and not the last, either.  I am playing along with the 2017 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop with just one card today.  This sentiment is from a Verve digi set from last year "My Cup to Yours":
Patterned papers are I Love Winter by Echo Park; Stamp set is Cup of Kindness by Verve; Snowflake die is Memory Box; Oval dies are MFT; Copic Markers

Coffee Lover's Hop - Second Post

Day two of the 2017 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, and I have two more cards to share.  The sentiments are from Verve's new digi set released a few weeks ago "Santa and Coffee".  I really love "Bring on the Eggnog" and I actually had to look up Wassail to find out what it was!

I used some I love Winter paper from Echo Park, a YNS pine bough die and the cup image is from another Verve digi set: Cup of Kindness.

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Yay, it's here again!  The 2017 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop starts this morning, over on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog... with lots of wonderful prizes from an amazing list of sponsors.  I have a bunch of coffee themed Christmas cards made and ready to go for the week, so here is the first group of three featuring digi sets from Verve:

Patterned paper is Fancy Pants; Digi stamps are from Verve (Cup of Kindness & My Cup to Yours); Dies are Your Next Stamp (pine bough), MFT (stitched shapes) La La Land Crafts (holly) and Memory Box (cup).

Kangaroo Mouthful

The Art Impressions Design Team are helping to launch the new Mouthfuls on the Ai blog today!  There are five new stamp sets - each with cute elements that can be inserted in their mouth (or tummy as in my card today).  You can mix and match what items you choose, and there are at least two sentiments in each set.  Here is Kangaroo Mouthful Set (Sku #4947):
The set includes all the dies to cut out the small accessories and the little "Roo".  There is also a die that you place over the kangaroo's pouch that will perfectly cut the slit to insert the present (it can be pulled out).  Such a great, interactive card - the horn is inserted in his mouth, but sticks up, the present can be pulled out, and the sentiment and Roo are both attached with Pop dots.  Our current challenge is Funny & Punny - so head over to the Ai blog to see what the rest of the team has created, and you can link up your creation while you're there.  Happy stamping!

More Ai Watercolours

A few weeks ago, I shared a couple of Christmas cards that I made using the Art Impressions watercolour stamps.  I was so happy with how the urn image turned out, that I immediately painted ten more just like it!  I made six of them into some larger 6 1/2 x 5" cards with some Basic Grey papers that I've been hoarding for years...  I made two of each:
Art Impressions stamp sets used are: WC Ornate Containers, WC Fir Trees and WC Branches - you can find them all on the Ai website here!  I used my Marvy markers and a damp paintbrush to pull out the colour.  I did a little ink distressing and added a few brown rhinestones to finish them off.

Santa Paws

I'm pretty sure that this is going to be everyone's favourite Ai Christmas stamp set this year... Here are a trio of cards using the very fun Santa Paws set (Sku #4937):
What's not to love about puppies dressed up for the holidays??
The images are all coloured with Copic markers and then I let my love of patterned papers do the rest.
I actually started this post with just the first two cards... but love the pups so much, that I've added these last two before the post went live!

Hope your holiday card making is going well!

Val

A little early for Valentines... but I made this one up a few weeks ago, and wanted to share.  Val from Art Impressions is simply the cutest - he makes me smile every time I see him.

Quick Retirement card

Well, maybe "quick" isn't the right term... I did kind of whip it off, though!  A close friend was retiring yesterday, so before I went to work, I quickly stamped off the images from the Art Impressions set His & Hers Campers (Sku #SC0651)... then I coloured them up during my lunch hour, fussy cut them during my break... and quickly assembled the card when I got home, and then we headed out the door for the party!

Doctor cards

I have two more cards to share that I've made for my nephew who's in Med school - I think they'll go over well!  The image is Doctor Bill (Sku #4088), and both sentiments are from the Proud Nurse Set (Sku #4899) - all are Art Impressions:

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags

So am I the only one editing her tag photo an hour before the linkup closes??  Probably not...  I really wanted to play along, since I've enjoyed the wonderful month of inspiration put on by Tracey McNeely in her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event.  I am a huge High Hopes fan, and they were the sponsor for Day 26!  I was totally inspired by two of the designers who did penguin tags, and I knew that I had this cute little penguin and tree from High Hopes newest release.  Here is Happy Penguin & Simple Winter Tree:
The sentiment is also from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, and I used some old Close To My Heart paper (Believe) for the sky, and Merry & Bright from Carta Bella for the tree.  I coloured him up with my Copic markers.

A Simple Birthday Card

A few weeks ago, my brother-in-law asked if I would make a selection of cards that he could give to my nephew as a gift!  As an incredibly busy, fourth year Med student, the last thing he has time for is running out to buy a card, yet like all of us, he needs birthday cards, Mother's Day cards, girlfriend cards and a lot of thank you's.  So here is one of the cards that I've made for his stash:
I used my Misti, and six different Close To My Heart inks - and stamped four of these while I was at it.  I was trying to keep it gender neutral, and a card that someone in their 20's wouldn't mind giving.  I'll post the rest as I get them photographed.

Welcome Little One

I have another Mini Try-fold card using Welcome Little One from Art Impressions today.  I usually stamp two of everything when I'm cardmaking, so I coloured this one up differently from the one I made for my Great Nephew:
I used my favourite Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid papers for the base, and coloured the images with Copic markers.
The little stars are from two of the Ai Mini shaker sets.  I used some watercolour-look solid yellow paper to line the backside of my colouring panels, to hide the bleed through from the markers.
A little organdy ribbon ties it all up nicely:
