Quick Birthday Cards

I love this bold Happy Birthday die from Lawn Fawn - it's really all you need to put a quick birthday card together.  I used up some older patterned paper from my stash, layered the die with a cream cut out to make it stand out a little more, and added a few stars.  The inner rectangle is popped up with 3D foam adhesive.  Done.

Painted Daisies

This stencil & die set are part of a class kit that I'm working with in a few days, but I couldn't wait to bust it out and make up a few cards.  Here is my first effort with Painted Daisies from Pinkfresh Studio, using an assortment of their inks and background plate:

Harvey's Birthday

What do you do for a 5-year old's birthday card when you don't own any truck, digger or Paw Patrol stamps??  You dig out your dies and make a name card.  He's just learning to read, so I know he'll like seeing his name on the card.  I used some old Basic Grey papers, and the Stitched Slimline and Block Letters die sets from Art Impressions:

My Falala card theme continues!  Once again using this wonderful stamp/die set from Pigment Craft Company - and using up some ancient holiday paper.  I got four done!

Peace on Earth

I have a wintry slimline card today, for the upcoming Watercolour Weekend post on the Art Impressions blog, which you could easily recreate with just a few stamp sets.

I cut out several hillside shapes from scrap paper and used them as masks to do some ink blending.  For the top layer, I used yellow and orange inks to blend a setting sun, and then used a lilac and a blue ink to do the sky around it.  With the second mask in place, I coloured the two houses from 5370 - WC Village Set in N55, and used my stamp positioner to make them look like they are 'just over the hill', then softly blended ink to hilight the hill edges, and did the same for the bottom hill.  I used the trees from 5010 - WC Tree Set 1, 5372 - WC Mini Foliage and 4960 - WC Fir Trees Set in #177/249, and stamped them with masks in place, to appear over the hills.  I used the tree top from the Fir Trees Set to stamp the large foreground tree, and added a trunk and shadow under it.  I added snow to the house roofs and painted them in using #969/856.  The deer from 5427 - WC Silhouette Deer where stamped in #N25, and the sentiment from 5566 Christmas Sentiments was stamped in black ink and decorated with a few tiny sparkles.  The panel was cut with 5463 Slimline Dies and mounted on a dark green panel with 3D foam adhesive.

My inspiration for today's card came from a beautiful card made by Karen Orme - I loved her design, and wanted to recreate it using Ai supplies!  Be sure to check out the Ai blog on Saturday to see what Tricia & Dot have to share.

Wintry Forest

I need a number of masculine cards over the next while, and this stencil set from Pinkfresh Studio is perfect to make a bunch at the same time.  It's a set of six treelines (the last is snow, which I didn't use today) - and I used my Pinkfresh Studio blue ink set which has four monochromactic colours that worked really well.  A few weeks ago I made a huge pile of sentiments using the Perfect Sentiments stamp and die set, so I had these words that were embossed with some irridescent silvery embossing powder on black cardstock.  After my ink blending, I added a Spellbinders decorative die to create the frame look, mounted it over black cardstock, and added the sentiment with some 3D foam adhesive.  I got two made, and have two more stencilled and ready to go.

Modern Poinsettia

It's been a productive week on the Christmas card front - I completed six more today, using the Modern Poinsettia stamp set from Pigment Craft Company.  This is such a wonderful, oversized image, created to stamp as shown to complete the floral spray.  With the help of my Misti, I stamped multiples, using Pigment Craft Company inks (love their palette!).  The sentiment is from Falala, stamped and die cut, then matted on some silver glitter cardstock.  I may add a few tiny rhinestones before putting these in the mail:

World Cardmaking Day!

Definitely a day worth celebrating!  I was happy to get a real leg up on my Christmas cards today.  This is the wonderful Falala stamp and die set from Pigment Craft Company.  I love the sentiment, and pulled out an assortment of older patterned papers that I've been hoarding saving, and made up some fun, bright cards:

Happy to have nine more in my stash!  Hope you have time for some crafting this weekend.
