I had time to put together a couple of Christmas cards tonight - using a sweet little penguin image from Art Impressions.  I've used the current Sweet Sunday Sketch and some Teresa Collins papers:

Sweet Sunday Sketch #206 & Verve Challenge

I've used the Sweet Sunday Sketch for this week to make a card for the February Inspiration challenge on the Verve blog... which is to use flowers on your card.  I've had this Cosmo Cricket paper for several years, and still love bringing it out to make a card :o)

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #200!

Karen Giron is celebrating her 200th Sweet Sunday Sketch this week, so I decided to play along :o)  It was heavenly to make a Christmas card last night to add to next year's stash!  I took my time, there was no rush to make it and then quickly get it in the mail... I have a bright and sunny card today using the current Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I pulled out one of last year's Key Ingredients kits and that lovely flower from Something Splendid:

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #181

It's been a while since I've been able to play along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, so I'm very happy to have found some time last night to make up a quick card.  I loved Karen's sketch this week... I'm pretty sure I'll be pulling it out again soon.  Here's what I came up with using the Buzz & Bumble papers:

I used a little snippet of copper glitter paper for the little tab over the sentiment - it doesn't show up really well in the photo, but it's a warm coppery/brown colour, and very sparkly!  I popped up the front panel and wrapped it with a bit of twine from American Crafts.

Merry Monday!

I am very pleased to be playing along with this week's Merry Monday challenge!  Lesley asked us to do a Christmas card with birds on it... so as you can see, I've CASE'd Allisa's card from the design team this week, as the Pear & Partridge papers are perfect.  I'm using the Sweet Sunday Sketch by Vicki Burdick as my layout:

A Couple of Challenges

I haven't had my Copics out for a while, so I combined this week's colour challenge at The Paper Players with the current Sweet Sunday Sketch - and used a cute little image that I got in a stamp swap.  I tweaked the sketch a little, but hopefully you can still see it in there somewhere:

This may be the most fun I've ever had making a card... My backordered Taylored Expressions dies arrived in the mail today, so I immediately added the flowers onto the bottom of my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card.  I used an older TE die for the little gift bag, and pulled out my June Key Ingredients kit again:

Today just happens to be my 2nd Blogaversary!  Time flies when you're having fun... so here I am 366 posts later, still having a great time blogging my little heart out :o)  I pulled out my Cute-a-tude Pure Innocence stamp set again this week for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge - and I quite like this sketch, so I think it'll be reappearing again soon.  Here's what I came up with:

I used Laurel's green/polka dot inspiration at the Inspired By challenge this week, along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch to make my 6th and final card for my set of note cards for the Key Ingredients Feb Kit challenge (I'll show the whole set & the little holder I made in my next post!).

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #152

I came up with a masculine birthday card for the current Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  I really love my Retro Tech stamp set, but the images aren't that easy to use on a card!  Karen's sketch with three little stacking squares seemed to work well, though.  I clear embossed the sentiment & the three images, then pop dotted them up:
