Inspired By & Deconstructed Sketch #89

This was NOT where I was going with this week's Inspired By photo... I have several knitting stamps, so I was going to pull those out and get started.  Then I saw someone using these October Afternoon papers on Pinterest, and knew they'd be perfect, so I changed gears entirely.  I've used this week's Deconstructed Sketch - I loved how Jen used the die cut at the bottom of the sketch, so I did my own interpretation:
Here was our Inspiration:
And the sketch:
Patterned papers are Farmhouse, October Afternoon; Cardstock is Slate, CTMH; Stamp set is Card Word Puzzle, CTMH; Black ink, clear buttons & hemp all CTMH.

Karen~I love this! The clear buttons are so subtle, but just enough for that "something". The stitches are perfect also~

Karen! Thanks for picking my card this week at Dynamic Duos! Made my Friday to come home from work and see the post.
This card is a wonderful play between vintage and funky. Brilliant idea to let the patterned paper just be the focal image, and it captures the feel of the crocheted spread and the antique bed frame. Love that swoop at the bottom; using the buttons is retro but clear ones look completely contemporary. Very cool!
