Pigment Craft Co. Merry Christmas

I'm going to date myself, here!  Who remembers these papers from CTMH?  Oh - maybe 10 or 12 years ago.  I had bought them in bulk, and even though I made up 15 of these this week, I still have plenty left.  I paired them with a sentiment from Pigment Craft Co., and added a poinsettia from my Spellbinders Holiday Blooms set.

Simple Valentines

I haven't been posting much, but I have been creating!  Bits and pieces, doing some stencilled backgrounds, prepping dies and doing some painting.  I have had a chance to put together some valentines for my family, though:

This "love" CTMH die is the star of the show this year!  I die cut a bunch of hearts, and created a few different backgrounds.  The first is using a 3 layered die from Pigment Craft Co.
This leafy background stencil is from The Greetery - my first effort using it!  Can hardly wait to keep trying it in different colour combos.

And finally, I had leftover striped from the recent slimline that I made, so I layered them on a diecut banner, and stitched it down to my background.  Happy Valentine's Day!

You are Simply Amazing

I love this sentiment and word die from Verve!  I am making a couple of cards to donate today - using this pretty yellow/taupe/blue floral from my stash of old CTMH papers.  I kept them simple, due to the busy print. The butterflies are die cut from a shimmery tan cardstock, with a little Pinkfresh Golden Pearl to finish them off.

Valentines for 2022

Well here it is still January, and I've managed to get my valentines made already?  They're not over the top, we keep Valentine's Day fairly simple in our family, but it was fun to pull out supplies that I've had for a while, and make good use of them.  I also love making valentines that are a little non-traditional, especially when it comes to cards for the males in my life.  I pulled out the You're My Happy papers by Teresa Collins, and a few CTMH dies to put these together:

I used CTMH glitter paper on my cards - a coppery/brown colour for the masculine cards, and a nice glittery gold for my daughter.

Balloon Animals

I'm ashamed to say that I've had this cute Balloon Animal stamp set for years - and have only just pulled it out now!  But I've always loved the images, and they stamped beautifully in Distress Oxide inks - I used a couple of colours on each one to give them a little added dimension.  I stamped and cut out a whole bunch, and pulled out some (even older!) papers - then made up a couple of cards.  The sentiment and die are from Photoplay.

Quick & Easy

I made up twelve cards this week, ready to donate to a local charity!  I am using up papers that I've had on hand for years, to make some cards with a positive message.  I did variations on these four:

Seize the Sketch & Color Throwdown

This card came together in a strange way tonight...  I loved the colours in this week's Color Throwdown challenge, and when I stumbled across the sketch at the Seize the Sketch challenge I knew that I wanted to give it a try.  I've used these Carta Bella papers for several cards, so I pulled them out onto my craft table, and sitting there beside them was an image I'd coloured weeks ago, perfectly fitting the colours, the papers and the sketch?!  It all came together pretty quickly after that:
It's not quite this limey in person!!  Here were the challenges:
Patterned papers are True Friends, Carta Bella; Cardstock is Slate, Cotton Candy & White Daisy, CTMH; Ink is London Fog, Memento; Copic Markers;  Flower & Button, CTMH; Stamp set is Camper Crazy, CTMH.
