Winter Sprig Christmas cards

I had stamped all of the greenery for today's five cards last year!  So all I had was a pile of pretty die cuts waiting to be used.  It feels great to pull them out and put together some cards.

All of the greenery is from the Winter Sprig set from Pigment Craft Co., stamped in shades of Distress Oxide ink, and cut with the coordinating dies.  The bows are from the Fit To Be Tied die set by The Greetery.  I arranged everything in a swag, and put them on a Postage Rectangle die from Spellbinders that was attached to the base with some foam adhesive.  For the first three, I used the Candy Cane stripe stencils from Pigment Craft Co. to add a little background interest.

For all of the cards, I used Foilable sentiments from Pink & Main that were run through my Minc machine with silver and gold foil - a nice little bit of sparkle.

Best Ever Birthday

Rarely (if ever?) do I make a one layer card.  There's always a mat, a layer or two of patterned paper etc.  So this one surprised me, but I really wanted to keep it simple, and be all about the colour.

I've used three different stamp sets from Pigment Craft Co., who are no longer around, but remain one of my favourite companies.  Sets are Best Ever, Sweet Sentiments and Sending Love.

I used several colours of Distress Oxide inks, doing two white versions and two on kraft cardstock.  *The pale one looks better in person, as it has a sort of subtle glimmer to it.

I am entering these into the Simon Says Stamp Instagram challenge for September, which is to use a stamp, in celebration of Stamptember.

Rainbow Pattern Play

Time for another couple of cards using the Pattern Play dies from Concord & 9th.  This was an idea that I got from Maggie Haas, who did a similar card with this set.

I die cut enough bits and pieces to get four of these made!  Once that was done, the assembly went pretty quickly.

The sentiments are from the Dashing Sentiments stamps and dies from Pigment Craft Co.

I think these would look equally stunning on a black background!  But it's summer... and I wanted some light and happy cards.

Blooming Floral

This pretty stamp set from Pigment Craft Co. is called Blooming Floral.

I've only done this set in bolder, more fall-like colours, so loved the idea of trying it out in a pretty summer look.  I stamped the large image with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink, which gave it a softer feel right from the start.

I used the coordinating stencil, along with Pinkfresh Studio inks in yellows, corals, blue and green.  The sentiment (included with the set), was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  The flowers needed a little definition, so I added some black dots to their centers with a marker.  I cut the entire image out with a frame die from The Greetery, and mounted it to my blue base with some 3D foam adhesive.

Long Line Leaves

I absolutely love the Long Line Leaves background stamp from Kristina Werner... and patiently waited two weeks to create with it after getting it into my hands!

I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black onto regular white cardstock, then pulled out my Pinkfresh Studio inks and tried a couple of different blending combos with the matching stencils - and love both of them!

This is going to be a well loved stamp... so many possibilities.  Looking forward to trying a watercolour version, some monochromatic ones, using coloured cardstock, etc.

I used the Dashing Sentiments stamps and dies from Pigment Craft Co., layered twice for some added depth.  A few black jewels and a black cardstock base finished them off.

Sending Love

Pigment Craft Co. is no longer putting out new product, but I was able to purchase a number of their sets last summer, and am slowly working my way through them.  They have such a great vibe!  Today I pulled out the Sending Love stamps and dies, along with the Latte Hearts stencils.

Pigment came out with their own ink line which I've used today as well.

Masculine Birthday

It's my husband's birthday!  I put together a card using a couple of foliage stamp sets from Pigment Craft Co., arranging them in a sprig on some old Photoplay plaid paper (intended for Christmas, but I think it works fine for a winter birthday).  The sentiment is from the Serenade Sentiments die set from Spellbinders - which I am so happy with!  It's my first time using them, but won't be the last.  I love using old & new product together.

Pigment Craft Co. Christmas cards

I was able to purchase several new-to-me stamp and die sets by Pigment Craft Co. this summer, and was very keen to get them made into cards.  Their flowers & foliage stamps are amazing, and just my style... so after MUCH fussy cutting, I got four cards put together:

Stamp sets used are Berry Sprig, Winter Sprig and Festive Floral.  I had several foliage dies in my collection that I pulled out and cut in brushed silver and gold Spellbinders cardstock to tuck into my sprays, plus an old Echo Park word die set for the Merry.
I used the rectangular postage die set from Spellbinders to cut out my background, and adhered it to the base with 3D foam tape.
I wasn't sure if I'd use my second colour combo for Christmas cards or not, but once the shimmery gold die cuts were added, I thought it worked really well.
Happy to have two of each version in my stash... and have many more pieces to still create with.
Here's my pile of stamped images that were fussy cut!  And yes... each of those pine boughs was painstakingly cut while I watched Hallmark Christmas movies :-)

Shine Bright

I have been struggling to get into Christmas cards this year... but seemed to break through my block by creating a bunch of bold rainbow themed Christmas projects today!  I was inspired by the Shine Bright stamp set from Pigment Craft Co., and knew that I had the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Christmas paper pack from a few years ago...

I used Festive Berries, Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn, Broken China and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks, applied directly to my stamps with sponge dawbers and the help of my Misti.  I got an assembly line going and created panels for four cards.

I loved the look so much, that I die cut six tags with the Ai tag die, and stamped the same design.  My Glossy Accents was a little thick, but if I can get it flowing again, I may add it to the lights.

Before assembling my cards, I cut tag bases out of the coloured paper, and used the Snowflake and Quirky Owl Ephemera packs from Simply Stated Design (they're Canadian!) to put together four smaller tags.  I used my Lawn Fawn Tiny Christmas Tags for a small accent, and stamped them with holiday sayings.

Ten tags and four cards created today!  My stash is building...  *You can find Lawn Fawn, Distress Inks and Simply Stated Design products at the Papercrafter's Workshop

Blue & Gold Pigment Craft Co.

I picked up a few more Pigment Craft Co. stamp sets this summer, and have pulled out a few of them to put together a couple of cards today.  This is Modern Poinsettia, Winter Sprig and Festive Floral.

Shout out to Michelle Ferguson for the colour inspiration/design idea.  She does some beautiful work with the Pigment Craft Co. products.
Sentiments are the It's Your Day Betterpress set from Spellbinders, pressed on their Treasured Gold brushed cardstock.

Hello Again...

Before the day was done, I used the extra pieces that were on my craft desk, to create a landscape version of my previous card.  Why reinvent the wheel?  I was happy with my colour combo, and loved them on the pierced background... so here is version two:

Hello.

I am using a new-to-me set from Pigment Craft Co. that I recently purchased.  This is the Spring Floral stamp set along with the Dashing Sentiments.  The base is an Altenew piercing plate.  I don't own the matching dies, so yes - this was a lot of fussy cutting!

I have been using a lot of navy in my projects over the past while!  It still seems to be something I gravitate to - even on my fall projects.  I used Distress Oxide inks for my stamping, and then added some shading with Copic markers.

A few of the flowers were mounted partially/totally with 3D foam adhesive, and a few brown jewels were sprinkled around.  The Hello sentiment was doubled up before being adhered to my base.

Jumbo Berry

My Strawberry obsession continues!  This is the Jumbo Berry set from Pigment Craft Company... and I just adore the scale of this.  When I create, I like to make multiples once all my supplies are out, so I've got four A2 sized cards, all with just slight variations.

I used the sentiment from Latte Heart Elements, which I think is really cute.  I had a few of the white die cut flowers leftover from my previous berry cards, so I tucked them in on a couple of the cards.

I am playing along with this week's Color Throwdown challenge!  I haven't played in a long time, and when I spotted this week's challenge, knowing I was about to create strawberry cards - it was meant to be.
