A Spidey Birthday!

I have a wonderful Great Nephew who turned four this week, and he's a huge 'Spidey' fan - he's the version of Spiderman aimed at a younger audience.  So... I pulled out my supplies and got creative in figuring out how I could make a Spidey card.

I used an oval die to cut out his head, then reshaped it a little, and copied the web pattern on his head with a marker.  I had one of these silhouette die cuts already, and decided to layer them to make a shadowy cityscape.  After spelling out his name, I decided that the D in the alphabet die set would work for his eyes, so I added those, plus a few dots for decoration... and a Spidey card was born.

Happy Birthday, Alex!

Harvey's Birthday

What do you do for a 5-year old's birthday card when you don't own any truck, digger or Paw Patrol stamps??  You dig out your dies and make a name card.  He's just learning to read, so I know he'll like seeing his name on the card.  I used some old Basic Grey papers, and the Stitched Slimline and Block Letters die sets from Art Impressions:

Harvey's First Birthday

There is a special little man turning one today in our family, so he needed a special card.  I pulled out the Zoo Babies Giraffe from Art Impressions, and coloured him up with Copic markers.  I used the Babycakes papers from Close To My Heart, because they work so well with this little guy!
After using my sewing machine to zigzag the polka dot paper on the base with some bright orange thread, I fussy cut the giraffe out, and adhered him with pop dots:

Happy Birthday, Harvey!
