Snowglobe tags

I've put together some cute little snowglobe tags, using the wonderful Snowglobe Die set from Lawn Fawn:

I was inspired by Lindsay Larsen's sweet unicorn snowglobe tag on Day 14 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags events on Tracey McNeely's blog.  You can see her tag here!  This was a blast doing a little assembly line of die cutting, stamping and Copic colouring to put together 8 of these little guys:

25 Days of Christmas Tags

I love the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event that Tracey McNeely puts on every November.  I am finally getting a chance to play along today!  It's snowing like crazy outside, Michael Buble is playing in the background, and I got 10 Christmas tags made.  It's a good day.

I was inspired by the really sweet tags made by Becky Roberts for Honey Bee Stamps on Day 15.  You can see her version here!

I've used the ever-lovely Perfectly Plaid Christmas papers from Lawn Fawn, cut out with a stitched oval die and then cut in half to make the top of my touque.  I spattered the hats with white paint to suggest a hint of snow, before gluing on my pompoms.

For You Deer tags

I got some happy mail a few weeks ago, from the wonderful Tracey McNeeley... who puts on the "25 days of Christmas Tags" event in November.  I was lucky enough to win a draw she made, and I received these adorable stamps/dies from Lawn Fawn:
This is the For You Deer stamp set, with matching dies, and the tag die add-on set (shopping links below).  They're so cute!
There are all kinds of sentiments in the set, some that work for other occasions too.  And... they are front & back stamps, so you can see their behinds on the flip side of the tags where there's room to write:
I managed to get 20 of the tags made, as well as about 35 tiny bookmarks that I put in my Christmas cards for coworkers.  If you just use the reindeer and polar bear on their own, they make the sweetest little bookmarks that are about 1 1/2" tall:
 And the backside:
Even though I will likely make & post a few more Christmas cards over the next few weeks, this is probably my last post prior to Christmas, so I want to wish everyone a very happy holiday!  Stay tuned for a "Top 12 of 2019" post next week.

25 Days of Christmas Tags

I have been tag-making-up a storm this week, and today I have 4 tags to share that I made to play along with Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I loved her tag from Day 1, and did my own version with a few die cuts and some ribbon:

Here was Tracey's tag that inspired me:

The event is on all month long, so I hope to play often!

Ink blended tags

I have been working away on a huge stash of tags over the past week.  After enjoying all the inspiration on Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags, I got down to business with some simple white tag shapes, using colours of Distress Oxide inks to blend on a small portion of each.  Intending to do four tags originally, I sort of couldn't stop myself, and ended up with 48 tags total!
Does anyone remember There She Goes stamps?  They closed shop a few years ago, but several years before that I won a set of sweet, tiny images.  I stamped a bunch of them and coloured them with Copic markers a week ago.  And yes, I fussy cut out 76 of these tiny images.
Here were the first four that I loved so much - I made four of each....
Then I did a circle version...
And finally a squarish tag, where I ink blended one of the corners.  I sorted through numerous stamp sets to come up with 12 different sentiments, and adhered some of the images with pop dots.
Here are the tags from Tracey McNeeley on day 16 that made me want to try a little ink blending with black sentiments:

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Tracey McNeely puts on a fabulous event on her blog every November... "25 Days of Christmas Tags", with all kinds of wonderful inspiration... and encouragement to play along.  I was inspired by Tracey's pretty purple ink blended tags with white embossed snowflakes on Day One, and decided to make a whole bunch of my own:
I used a pretty Pearl embossing powder from WOW, using three larger snowflakes, and then filled in the empty spaces with a couple of smaller flakes:
Here is my blue/purple strip... I started out trying a few different purple ink blends... and settled on a blue/purple mix of three colours sponged randomly on my strip of paper.  Even though I wasn't thrilled with the colours that I started out with, they ended up being really gorgeous tags:
And here is my blue/green version:
The strips were 3 1/2" x 12", and I cut them each into 6 pieces... to end up with 12!
Each piece was mounted to a slightly larger piece of grey cardstock, and I added the sentiment with some pop dots.  I'm not sure what I'll do yet about twine or ribbon... so am just leaving them like this for now.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags

So am I the only one editing her tag photo an hour before the linkup closes??  Probably not...  I really wanted to play along, since I've enjoyed the wonderful month of inspiration put on by Tracey McNeely in her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event.  I am a huge High Hopes fan, and they were the sponsor for Day 26!  I was totally inspired by two of the designers who did penguin tags, and I knew that I had this cute little penguin and tree from High Hopes newest release.  Here is Happy Penguin & Simple Winter Tree:
The sentiment is also from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, and I used some old Close To My Heart paper (Believe) for the sky, and Merry & Bright from Carta Bella for the tree.  I coloured him up with my Copic markers.
