This is the card that I made for my husband's birthday today... fairly bright for a masculine card, but a mix of some fun Jillibean Soup papers and a few dies:
Patterned papers are Spicy Social Soup, Jillibean Soup; Cardstock is Crystal Blue, Pacifica & Colonial White, CTMH; Stamp set is Hello, Life - Cardmaking, CTMH; Ink is Ruby, CTMH; Dies are Banner Bundle Die Set, Verve & Happy by Avery Elle.

A Quick Birthday Card
Nothing special, just a quick birthday card to post today. I often find that when I need a birthday card unexpectedly, there is nothing in my stash that works... so I'm committed to making up some fairly simple cards to keep on hand, whenever I can. I am also committed to continually dig into my stash of paper to use it up! So I've found some pretty ancient Close To My Heart papers, and I put together two of these this afternoon:
Patterned papers are Let's Get Together; Stamp set is You Mean the World to Me; Cardstock is Colonial White, Cranberry & Garden Green; Ink is Black - all Close To My Heart; Butterfly die is Taylored Expressions, Stitched Square die is My Favorite Things.

I loved this week's Mojo Monday sketch, and wanted to use another of the digi images that Verve put out in December called Cup of Kindness. Here is my first Christmas card of 2016!
Patterned paper is Santa Express, Doodlebug Designs; Ink is Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers; Let it Snowflake dies by My Favorite Things; Stamp set is Cup of Kindness by Verve.

Nephew Birthday card
I have a nephew, brother-in-law and husband all with birthdays this week... so making a few masculine cards was the order of the day. I pulled out the awesome Hello, Life stamp sets that Close To My Heart came out with for National Scrapbooking Month in September, and made three of these:
Patterned papers are Marjolaine, Basic Grey; Cardstock is Whisper & textured White Daisy, CTMH; Stamp sets are Hello, Life - CTMH: Inks are Whisper, Slate & Pacifica, CTMH; Matte silver sequins, CTMH; Stitched Oval STAX die, My Favorite Things.

Knitted socks & scarf
I haven't shared any of my knitting projects on here in a while - mainly because I haven't been knitting quite as much in the last couple of years. I did manage to knit a lace infinity scarf for my daughter, and a very fun pair of socks for my son for Christmas. I really love that they'll both wear and enjoy them, and will even tell their friends that their mother knit it for them. (Yes, even my 20-year-old son will wear his mother's hand knit socks?! - Although I did make them in his school's colours, which makes them a bit quirkier to wear...) So here's what I've been madly knitting for the past few months:
The toe & stripes are actually quite a nice plum colour. Here is the scarf:

Bedtime Bear & the Minc Machine
I am posting today on the One Crazy Stamper blog! We have all kinds of wonderful inspiration in store for you in 2016... and to kick things off, I have the sweetest little bear from High Hopes today, along with my Minc'd background paper. Here is Bedtime Bear (S188):
This is a 5 1/2" square card, and I used my Heidi Swapp Minc Machine to create the silver foil background of 'dream' words which I thought worked perfectly with my sleepy bear stamp. The Minc machine will adhere foil to images printed on a laser printer, or run through a photocopier, but this sheet of cardstock was from the Heidi Swapp 6" x 6" paper collection that you can find here in the OCS store. It is a pack of 24 preprinted sheets that work with the Minc machine, so I selected some silver foil and ran it through. Here's a photo taken to show off the silver words a bit better:
The image was cut out and popped up over a circular die cut. The stamp comes with the little star placed as shown, but my daughter came up with the idea of having him dangle on a string - which I loved. Here are all of the products used that can be found in the One Crazy Stamper store:

January One Crazy Stamper Challenge!
Happy New Year! I'm starting off the year with something bright & sparkly for the One Crazy Stamper January challenge, which is "Anything Goes" - you may use any products you like, just no digi stamps, please! After making thousands of Christmas cards for the past few months, (okay, according to my blog it was only 66...) it felt great to go in a different direction with this one. Here is Fancy Bird House 2 P156 from High Hopes Rubber Stamps:
And for the inside, I used High Hopes Dot Have a Great Day H065
You'll want to head on over to the OCS blog to see what the rest of the design team is sharing today - and we're welcoming Donna Rudy to the team! Here are the OCS products that I've used on my card:
