A Rainbow Color Dare

The Color Dare challenge blog was started by a fellow consultant, Sarah Stone, and I've been hoping to play along - so here's my first shot!  This week is a rainbow challenge... so I used an idea that I'd seen on Pinterest of stamping butterflies down the side of a card.  I was going to cut off the white edge to the right of the butterflies, following the shape of their wings and then glue a piece of patterned paper underneath... but my daughter convinced me that it was great the way it is!

This was pretty CAS for me!

Cardstock is White Daisy; Stamp sets are Treasure Life & Butterfly Kiss; Inks are Black, Creme Brulee, Sorbet, Tulip, Juniper & Pacifica. - all CTMH.

A Sympathy card

A girlfriend needed a couple of these last week, and I must say that they're certainly easier to make when you're not the one sending them.  With that in mind, I intend to make a few more for my stash, so that when they're needed, I have them.

Mojo Monday #194

I turned once again to some of my favourite papers for this week's Mojo Monday sketch... Girl Friday by Cosmo Cricket.  I'll be sad when they're gone, but meanwhile I'm a happy girl.

Bliss & Mojo Monday #178

Yay! I got a chance to use my new Bliss paper pack today, along with my new sentiment from Verve (love this!) for this week's Mojo sketch.  And yes, I actually cut around all of the ripply edges of the medallion, and then chalked the center and around the sentiment.

Another card using the wonderful Wings papers... this time for Mojo Monday's sketch.  The butterflies are all stamped in black and then clear embossed:

Mojo Monday!

The idea for this week's Mojo Monday sketch was to use up scraps... so I dug out some bits and pieces and came up with:

This week's Mojo sketch was a good one for me... it was either saying "stars" or "butterfies" to me - and the butterflies won.  The squares are pop dotted, and the butterfly's wings are bent upwards:

Birds & Butterflies

Here are the next two cards for Paige's teacher... the first is using Butterfly Kiss which I've used so much more than I ever thought I would.  I love the 3D look to the large butterfly, which I simply cut out and mounted over the same image.  The little rhinestone circle was a Connections Club reward a few catalogues ago:
