Avocado Toast

I am playing along with the Alphabet Soup challenge on the Papercrafter's Inner Circle group on Facebook.  This is Lawn Fawn's Let's Toast set which I adore...

On Tuesday's Learning Live, Sheri was giving suggestions on how to approach the challenge, and mentioned 'Avocadoes'... and I immediately knew what set I was going to use.  I even had some of the pieces already stamped and coloured.  I finished up the remaining bits that I needed, and pulled out my Farmer's Market paper from Doodlebug.

Now the best part of this set, is that there is an add on die that creates this very wonderful little pull tab that allows the toast to pop up out of the toaster - Lawn Fawn does this so well!

Waffle Valentines

I still love making valentines for my kids, even though they're grown... so I pulled out the Let's Toast and Waffle Lot stamp and die sets by Lawn Fawn for this year's versions.

Let's Toast comes with an add-on set that allows it to be interactive.  There's a little slot in the toaster, and a simple mechanism behind it that creates the pull tab.  I don't own the dies for the waffle set... so I stamped, coloured (with Copics) and fussy cut a whole bunch of the waffles and tiny berries.

The papers are all older Lawn Fawn, and I mounted everything on some kraft paper.  The inside says "You are waffly cute!"

Let's Toast!

Yes, let's.  I have been trying to carve out some crafting time all week, and finally got SIX cards made from the fun Let's Toast set by Lawn Fawn.  I had stamped them up weeks ago, gradually colouring the images, and finally putting them all together this week:
Yes, that little piece of smiling toast pops out of the toaster when you pull up the tab.  The inside sentiment on this one reads "You're the avocado to my toast"
Now for a couple of pop tarts... Inside sentiment is "I love you with all my tart"
Sentiment is simply: "Happy day"
This one isn't interactive, it's a remake of one that I gave to my husband for Father's Day.
And another pop tart card.  I have a couple of coworkers, and a nephew who is a doctor on the front lines right now - all people who I feel like sending a little love to in the mail.  I am playing along with the first two challenges from the Papercrafter's Workshop this week - the first is to mail a card, and the second was to make something with 'food' in it.

My Baby's Birthday

Not exactly a baby any more... she's 22 today!  She is my number one card making fan, and is always willing to give me advice when I ask her about cardmaking dilemmas!!  (Yes, there are cardmaking dilemmas.)  So I always put just a little extra effort into her birthday cards:
I got this adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set "Let's Toast" this summer, along with the Pop-up Add-On Die set which allows you to use the pull tab to make the pop tart or toast pop up out of the toaster.  Genius!  No one does it like Lawn Fawn.  I started by colouring the images with my Copic markers, then die cut them out with the matching Let's Toast dies.  Here is what it looks like before the tab is pulled up:
There are a few steps to creating and assembling the pop-up aspect, but they're not hard, and the card came together pretty quickly.  I added a little Wink of Stella to the edges of the pop tarts and onto the little hearts.  The inside sentiment is simply "Happy Birthday".
I love it!  Pop tarts were an occasional treat around our house, so I think this will make Paige smile.

Let's Toast Father's Day

I picked up this cute set of Lawn Fawn stamps & dies last week, so couldn't wait to pull them out to make a card.  Here's what I made my husband for Father's Day using "Let's Toast":
I love that the dies include the little slits for the toast to pop out of!  I bought the Pull tab add on, also - so you're going to see a lot more of this stamp set in the future.
You can find the stamp/die set, plus the pull tab add-on at The Crafter's Workshop in Stouffville!
