Humble Artist's Swap

This was my final creation as a member of the Humble Artist's Swap - way back in June!  I never did get a chance to post it... so thought that I would now.  I don't have the criteria handy, but we usually needed to do a minimum of 7 or 8 layers.  It was such a wonderful group to be a part of, and the artwork I received was always inspiring.
Patterned paper is Buzz & Bumble; Cardstock is Cocoa, Sunset, Creme Brulee & Champagne; Ink is Cocoa; Brown Glitter Paper; Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge; Chalks; all CTMH.

April Humble Artist's Swap

This is my April offering for the Humble Artist's Swap... we were again able to do "anything goes" as long as we had an 8 layer minimum.  This was one of my very first projects using the lovely Claire papers, and I used a layout that is pretty popular right now, with some kind of a medallion, and a hanging penant.  I coloured the Buzz & Bumble workshop on the go stamps with Copics to match, and layered the flowers for a bit of dimension:

Patterned papers are Claire; Stamp sets are Buzz and Bumble WOTG and Avonlea WOTG; Outdoor denim chevron ribbon; Bitty Pearls; Ink is Outdoor Denim; Copic Markers;  Cardstock is Outdoor denim, Blush & Colonial White. - all products are Close To My Heart.

February Humble Artist's Swap

This was the card that I made for the February Humble Artist's Swap.  Nancy made it a "free-for-all" other than stipulating an 8 layer minimum, and we were asked to use new CTMH spring product.  I am having a love affair with navy lately (this card may have started it all?) and I especially love it paired with pear and cotton candy as I used here.  I sponged the background with both of those, plus a little creme brulee and then cut out and popped up the dragonfly's wings:
I made four of them:
Patterned paper is Chantilly; Cardstock is Outdoor denim, Pear, Cotton Candy & White Daisy; Inks are Outdoor denim, Pear, Cotton Candy & Creme Brulee; Stamps set is Quick Cards - Dragonfly; Outdoor denim chevron ribbon; Pink glitter gem - all Close To My Heart.

(I hope I got them all correct, it's been a while!)

October Humble Artist's Swap

Our Humble Artist's Swap this past October was (once again!) a doozy... here were the requirements:
Here are the guidelines:
-Use at least 1 newink colour
-Use at least 2 newribbons
-Use at least 3 newpatterned papers
-Use at least 4 newcardstock
-Use at least 5 embellishments (including 2 new ribbons)
-Use at least 6 stamped images
-Use at least a 7 word sentiment
-Use at least 8 layers
I chose to use the Avonlea papers along with the Avonlea Card Workshop on the Go.  The hardest requirements for me were fitting in the 6 stamped images (one border stamp, 4 on the slate background mat, and one medallion stamped on the green patterned paper!) and trying to get a 4th colour of new cardstock in there.  I ended up adding a tiny little heart in Avonlea green to the sentiment as my 4th colour (you don't see it in the main image, just in my close up shot after I added it).  Here's what I came up with:

Patterned papers are Avonlea; Cardstock is Slate, Avonlea teal, Avonlea Green and Avonlea Off-White; Ink is Slate; Burlap, Hemp, Rosette ribbon, Avonlea ribbon, Avonlea bubbles - all CTMH.

Humble Artist's Swap

I haven't gotten around to posting a photo of my June Humble Artist's Swap card yet, so here it is!  Here was our list of requirements:
No patterned paper
No neutral coloured cardstock
Must have minimum 8 layers
Must use 6 different stamp images
Do not use any embellishments (brads, ribbon etc.)
Make an embellishment from paper that counts for at least 2 layers
Do not use any stamp sets with Border or Background in the name
Whew!  It always takes a little time to get your head around the project, but once you do, it starts to roll.  I left the pink strip blank so that each person could personalize the card however they like. To see what the other swappers made, you'll see a list of their blogs down the side of mine - just scroll down.

I made five of them!

Stamp set is Card Word Puzzle; Cardstock is Garden Green, Olive, New England Ivy, Blush, Hollyhock & Baby Pink; Ink is Grey Wool; - all CTMH. Copic Markers.
