One Layer Ladies

The Art Impressions design team are all showcasing the two new wood mount stamps that are available right now in Hobby Lobby stores across the US.  And... the current challenge is "One Layer Ladies" - now you don't have to do an all female card, but we are wanting to see one layer cards from you!  Here is my effort using Entertained:

 I stamped the ladies onto some watercolour cardstock, and painted them with a combo of distress inks and Marvy markers scribbled onto my watercolour palette.  I added a few Nuvo drops and a bit of sparkle to the ladies using a Wink of Stella pen.

Masculine birthday cards

 I have found myself in need of a handful of masculine cards recently!  I pulled out one of the Ai clear stamp sets called Birthday Wishes (Sku #AICS36) who has this cute fella as one of the images, and made three similar cards:

 The houndstooth print was perfect for paper piecing, so I tried it out for both his top and shorts:

 I popped up a couple of the images & sentiments with pop dots, and left one flat for easier mailing.

 I added some blue epoxy bubbles and some zigzag stitching with my sewing machine, and that was it!

Fill 'er Up Coffee Card

 Today's card for Art Impressions just makes me smile :o)  It's fun, bright, and coffee themed - all of my favourite things in a card!  I am using one of the two images in the Hot Java Mama set #AICS32 available exclusively at Hobby Lobby stores (you can find it online!):

Texting BFF

Hello Ai fans!

I have a couple of fun birthday cards to share today, using the clear set Hot Java Mama (Sku # AiCS32) which is available exclusively at Hobby Lobby stores:

This is the perfect image for me... being a late December baby, literally all of my friends from school are older than me!!  I can hardly wait to send a few of these cards out to them (grin)!  I used some kraft cardstock for my base & mats, and added some pink zigzag stitching with my sewing machine.  Here are close up views of each of them:

Jealous Too

 I have another Art Impressions image that is available through Hobby Lobby stores to share today - this is one of the wood mount images that includes the sentiment on the same block.  Here is Jealous Too (Sku #4713):

 I stamped the image and coloured her with Copic markers, then stamped her again on some polka dot paper which I cut out to paper piece her dress.  I die cut the image in an oval shape and popped her up with pop dots.  I took my next largest oval die, and cut out a larger oval in the striped paper, which I also mounted onto the base with pop dots.  It gave a little added interest to a fairly simple card.  I added a few grey pearls, and that's it!

Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Yay!  It's here again!  The Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is happening this week, and I haven't missed one yet, so even though I'm busy at work, and have a pile of card making commitments on my craft desk...
