Easter Gift Set

It is my Tuesday post on the Art Impressions blog, today!
Easter is just around the corner, so I've made up a little gift set to celebrate the occassion!  Warning - lots of photos ahead...  One stamp that is definitely a signature image for Art Impressions is "The Fence" (Sku#P1499), and I am using it to make a Front & Back card along with Bunny FB (Sku#K1566), F & B Peeking Rabbit (Sku#K1750), Egg Basket (Sku#G1755) and Got Eggs? (Sku#D4015):
There was a lot of stamping, colouring and fussy cutting for this project - and yes, it did take a little time!  Here's what I started with on my craft table:

I began by colouring and fussy cutting around each piece.  The outer fence is part of the card base, and I glued the second fence to the back side of it.  Then I glued on the die cut grass along the bottom edges.  I added the bunny butts to the outside of the card, and matched their fronts to them on the inside, along with the basket of eggs.  I created a little hillside of gingham paper and glued it to the inside base along with the clouds and sky, then stamped the sentiment, "Got Eggs?":

For the matching treat holder, I cut a 4" x 12" piece of cardstock, scored it at 5 1/4" and 6 3/4", and cut a 2" circle out of one end.  I used a Spellbinders Label die to cut a shape for the top, and a small strip of green cardstock folded over the top.  The bunny was fussy cut and glued over the circle:

I used just the backview image, because I wanted it to look like the bunny was peeking in at the eggs:

I filled a small cello bag with Easter grass and a few chocolate eggs, then sandwiched it between the topper that I stapled on.

Did you see the Mini Front & Back images that we launched here on the blog a few weeks ago?  Well they would all work just perfectly with both the fence and the treat bag idea - and not just for Easter, maybe for a birthday party?  Another occassion?  And be sure to check out the Front & Back section on the Ai website - there are several dozen images to use along with the Fence.
Copic Markers used:
Fence: W1, W3, W5
Bunnies: E51, E53, E55, C1, R20, R22
Basket: E53, E55, E57, Y21, Y23, R81, R83, G40, G43, B01, B00, B000, V20, V22
Happy stamping, & Happy Easter!

Joyeuses Paques!

That would be "Happy Easter" en francais... which is something that I learned this week :o)  I had a friend request a French Easter card for his mother-in-law, who doesn't speak a word of English (is this guy son-in-law of the century, or what?).  So, I looked up the correct spelling, and individually stamped the greeting using a Close To My Heart font set.  I used an oval die to cut out three ovals under which I glued some (rather ancient) CTMH papers that had an Easter feel to them, added a few accessories and voila!  Not the most exciting card ever, but I thought any of you who've been around CTMH for a while would get a kick out of seeing me pull out some old stuff:
Here's the inside:

Happy Easter!

We don't make a lot of Easter cards around our house... but we do make Easter cupcakes!  Paige had a large order for an office party this week, so she did 1/2 coconut nests and 1/2 with a swirl of icing and a flower:

Heart2Heart Bunny Hop!

Every month we have a feature called From Our Heart to Yours on the Heart2Heart Challenges blog, and this week we're sharing our Spring/Easter themed projects with a blog hop!  We would love to have all of you participate, by linking up your project between 8am & 8pm on Monday the 18th.  The link will only be open during those 12 hours, so if you don't get a chance to join in the hop - stop by again and follow all of the links to view the artwork.  *Remember that your item must include CTMH products!  The design team has come up with some wonderful projects to get it all started, and we have the very talented Shari Maclaskey joining us as our April Guest Designer.

Now for my project, I wanted to make some little Easter egg holders to display some of the eggs my family will colour this year.  I started with toilet paper rolls cut into various heights (hmm...could've done this project for last week's recycling theme!), covered them with patterned papers, and added all kinds of fun trims:

All supplies are CTMH - Patterned papers are Sweetheart, Wings, Miracle & Magnifique; Cardstock is Amethyst; Just Blooms paper flowers; Ricrac, Kraft Color-ready borders; Sweet Leaf grosgrain ribbon; Amethyst waxy flax; Pink collection button & pompom ribbon.

Just wanted to take a minute to post an 'ad' for the Heart2Heart Challenge Blog's Bunny Hop that we are hosting this coming Monday, April 18th:
Every other month we have a "From Our Heart to Yours" challenge, so this week we thought we would make it a blog hop.  Here are the details from the H2H blog:
Before Monday, April 18th, create something Easter or Spring themed. Post it to your blog. Then on Monday April 18th, add your link to our Mister Linky on the H2H blog.  (http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/) You can ONLY post your link between 8:00 am EST and 8:00 pm EST on that Monday!! After 8:00 pm, the link list will be closed and no other entries will be added through the week. You also MUST include CLOSE TO MY HEART products or your link will be removed. Then through out the day, you can bunny hop among the links to see what everyone has created.

We would love to see a big turn-out for this hop so spread the word! There will also be one random blog hop participant chosen to win a prize so you want to play along!! Mary will post reminders through the week so get your creative thinking caps on! *If you'd like to help advertise the blog hop, we'd love to have you post the badge on your blog.  See you Monday

PS - I'm away at CTMH's Regional Celebration in Toronto this weekend, so I hope to post my contest item and some of the wonderful projects we're making in the next few days - stay tuned!
