CAS Watermelon cards

This was so fun.  Just some die cutting, a little glue and a sweet sentiment.

I've seen similar ideas online, and when the Simon Says Stamp Instagram challenge for August was circle cards, I knew this would be the perfect idea.  After picking my palette, I used various circle dies from my stash to cut out the different parts of the watermelon, added a few seeds and used the sentiment and die from Pigment Craft Co's Fruity Sentiment set.

For the A2 card, I used the same cardstock colours to cut different strips with the faux stitching, and glued them to my base at different angles.  *The seeds are actually the petals from a floral coverplate die, that were the perfect size and shape!

Spring Chicken Set

 Time to share more of the newly released, Ai Funny Farm sets.  Here are a couple of cards using Spring Chicken Set (Sku #AiCS40):

 I've used two of the three images that are included in this set, and coloured them up with Copic markers.

 I used my sewing machine to add a bit of zigzag stitching around my image, then used pop dots to mount the fun sentiment.

 This sentiment cracks me up!  I put this springy chick on a Mini Action Wobble (Sku #4776) so that he could shimmy a little, and decided to make a shaped circle card.  You can find all of the Funny Farm sets here on the Ai website.  Happy stamping!

In The Bag

 I wanted to do something a little different for my Art Impressions post today... so I decided to do a circle card, and then wanted to make it a more interesting shape, so I ended up using my Cricut to cut a flower shape from some patterned paper.  My image from In The Bag (Sku # 4729) fit perfectly as a circle in the center:

Red, White & Blue Challenge

We are having a Red White & Blue Challenge on the Art Impressions blog - so I'm using one of the Vintage Vixen stamp sets - Bathing Suit Set (Sku #4589): 

I made it into an easel card... I think this is the first time that I've done a circle version, and I quite like it!  I'm in a bit of a polka dot phase right now.

The inside sentiment is hilarious:  My bathing suit told me to go to the gym, but my sweatpants said, "Nah, you're good."  Now I also couldn't decide whether to add a bow or not, so here are a couple of shots including the bow... I actually like it both ways?

Giant Cake circle card

I am posting on the Art Impessions blog today!

I haven't made a circle card in a while, and I thought that the image I chose today would fit perfectly on one, so I have a girly birthday card to share, using Giant Cake Set (Sku #4382):

I used my Cricut to cut out the circles as well as a folded circle base, which made the assembly fairly quick and easy.  I zigzagged around the circle with pink thread and used some colourful buttons to pull out the colours from the image.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside sentiment... it says: "What's one more candle?  Make a wish!"

Humble Artist's Swap

This was my final creation as a member of the Humble Artist's Swap - way back in June!  I never did get a chance to post it... so thought that I would now.  I don't have the criteria handy, but we usually needed to do a minimum of 7 or 8 layers.  It was such a wonderful group to be a part of, and the artwork I received was always inspiring.

Patterned paper is Buzz & Bumble; Cardstock is Cocoa, Sunset, Creme Brulee & Champagne; Ink is Cocoa; Brown Glitter Paper; Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge; Chalks; all CTMH.

Art Impressions Twine Time challenge

About a month ago, I came across this fabulous Bo Bunny paper that is striped on one side, Bingo cards on the other.  Even though my "Bingo Jean" stamp set (sku#L3501) hadn't yet arrived in the mail, I knew this was a match made in heaven.  The current challenge on the Art Impressions blog is called "Twine Time", so I added a little Baker's Twine to my projects.  Jean lends herself nicely to a circle shape, so I decided to make both a circle and a square card to show her off:
