Window Deco Die

I am sharing a card using a Windows to the World stamp from Art Impressions called Day Spent Window (Sku #4584) paired up with the brand new Window Deco Die (Sku #4749):
The Window Deco Die set actually comes with four dies, and two stamps, and I am just using the curtain and valance stamps on my card today.  I stamped them both on some patterned paper, and used some pencil crayons to add a bit of shading to the folds of the fabric.  I used the Window Die (Sku #4619) to die cut the window panes so that you can peek through to the stamp on the inside of the card.
The sentiment is a favourite of mine, from the Garden TF Set (Sku #4203).  Here is what the inside looks like:
Copics used - B28, B24, B23, B21, G46, G43, G41, YG07, YG05, YG03, YG01, R35, R32, R30, E57, E55, E53, W5, W3, W1, W00

Inspired By All The Little Things #8

There is another challenge up on the Inspired By All The Little Things challenge blog... with Tracey McNeely as our hostess this week.  She picked a lovely bouquet as her inspiration piece, so I picked up one of my Art Impressions Watercolor Minis sets and painted the flowers using the colours in the photo:
The colours are a little weird in the photo - they're a bit prettier in real life, not so neon looking!  Here was our inspiration:

New Ai Watercolour Minis

The Art Impressions Design Team are showing off the three newly released Watercolour Mini sets for Spring 2016 today.  Here are a couple of square cards that I made with Watering Can (Sku #4761):
I know, they're pretty much identical - the real difference is that the first one is using regular watercolour paper, and the second is using smooth watercolour paper.  They both were easy to use, and the end result was fine.  I found that the regular paper gave more of a watercolour appearance, the Tombow markers softened and blended really well.  The smooth paper allowed me to keep a little more of the detail of the flowers, and that's fine, too!

I used the two flowers and the watering can that came in the set, and added the large grass and trailing foliage from the Foliage Set (Sku #4051).  Our current challenge on the Ai blog is Watercolour + White Gel Pen - I used a white gel pen on my cards, to put the flower centers back on, and to add a little lightness to the hydrangeas.  You can link up your creation over on the Ai blog and check out what the rest of the DT has to share!

Angel Spinner cards

I am committed to working on my Christmas cards throughout the year in 2016 - I hate scrambling to get them finished in Nov/Dec, I would rather be baking and doing other holiday activities!  So with that in mind, you may see a few holiday cards from me over the next few months.  Today I have two Art Impressions spinner cards to share with you, using the Angel Spinner Set (Sku #4763) and the coordinating Angel Spinner Dies (Sku #4692):

Even though these are both considered Christmas paper packs, the first one shows that this set could easily be used for a non holiday card - maybe welcoming a new baby?  Here are a couple of photos with them held closed so that you can see them clearly:

Before I put them in the mail, I'll spin her around several times, so that when the recipient opens their card, the angel will spin around.  Here's what the inside looks like:
 Copics used: Skin - E11, E00, E000, R20
Dresses - B99, B97, B95, B93, B91, BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG72
Hair - E57, E55, E53, E51
Star - Y26, Y23, E50
Wings - B00, B000, B0000

Inspired By All the Little Things #7

Today is my first day as hostess on the Inspired By All the Little Things challenge blog!  Each week, one of the Design Team picks an inspiration photo, makes a card and invites a guest designer to post with us.  Here is the inspiration photo that I chose:
I chose this gorgeous pail of spring tulips - I loved the colours and that piece of grey gingham in behind them.  I knew that I had this sweet bunny from High Hopes stamps all stamped and ready to colour, so I pulled him out and grabbed my Copics.
I picked three colours of Doodlebug Baker's Twine and randomly wrapped them around the base, and then sprinkled a few pastel sequins around the card.  The best part of the Inspired By challenge, is that I get to choose a guest designer to join me, and this week I have my girlfriend Bonnie Joynt (who does the most amazing things with a needle & thread!) playing along.  So head on over to the Inspired By blog, see what Bonnie has come up with, and link up your creation - you have until Thursday, March 26th at midnight to play!

Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - post #3!

I'm on a roll, with my third post of the day for the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  I hadn't planned on getting this many cards done for the hop, but the other two were already scheduled, and I had time to put this one together tonight.  This Giraffe Set from Art Impressions has always made me smile... and it just happens to be one of the two stamps sets that Ai is giving away as a Flash prize on the hop!

Patterned papers are Sweet Summertime, Echo Park; Cardstock is Brown Bag, Crystal Blue, Pear & Glacier, CTMH; Copic Markers; Die is Cups of Cheer, Memory Box; Stamp set is Giraffe Set (Sku #4190) by Art Impressions; YNS Gumdrops.

Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - 2nd post!

This is my second Coffee Lover's Blog hop post - please scroll down to see my Pink & Main card.

I am excited to share a SNEAK PEEK of the not-yet-released new High Hopes Spring 2016 stamp line.  I got special permission from Lora to sneak this set out a few days before the release, since I knew it would be perfect for the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  Here is Coffee Talk TT037 and the sentiment Girl Talk FF002:

I stamped them on Xpress It Blending cardstock, and coloured them with Copic markers.  I popped the image and one of the coffee mug die cuts up on pop dots, and mounted it all on some Echo Park Spring papers.  *The stamps are releasing April 1st on both the High Hopes website and in the One Crazy Stamper store.  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

It's back!  I am playing along in another Coffee Lover's Blog Hop today - this one has a spring theme.  The fun part is that I won this sweet Pink & Main stamp set during the Holiday Coffee Lover's Hop, so I've been saving it to use today.  I made a matching little gift bag that I've filled with some coffee pods to give to a co-worker along with the card:

The fun saying on the bag is another one from the set: "I'm okay, I have caffeine."

Patterned papers are Daydream, Close To My Heart; Stamp set is Need Coffee, Pink & Main; Copic markers, Gift Bag Punch Board, We R Memorykeepers.
