Angel Spinner cards

I am committed to working on my Christmas cards throughout the year in 2016 - I hate scrambling to get them finished in Nov/Dec, I would rather be baking and doing other holiday activities!  So with that in mind, you may see a few holiday cards from me over the next few months.  Today I have two Art Impressions spinner cards to share with you, using the Angel Spinner Set (Sku #4763) and the coordinating Angel Spinner Dies (Sku #4692):

Even though these are both considered Christmas paper packs, the first one shows that this set could easily be used for a non holiday card - maybe welcoming a new baby?  Here are a couple of photos with them held closed so that you can see them clearly:

Before I put them in the mail, I'll spin her around several times, so that when the recipient opens their card, the angel will spin around.  Here's what the inside looks like:
 Copics used: Skin - E11, E00, E000, R20
Dresses - B99, B97, B95, B93, B91, BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG72
Hair - E57, E55, E53, E51
Star - Y26, Y23, E50
Wings - B00, B000, B0000

Retro Sketches #91 & Inspired By #97

Just getting this one posted before midnight!  I used a combo of two challenges tonight, Laurel's pretty Inspired By photo for colour inspiration, paired with the Retro Sketch:
Not the best photo... the yellow is much warmer in person...and I've added chunky glitter to the white stars and in and around the sentiment.  I'm also going to enter this into the November Diva Dare on the Verve blog which is to use a common shape on your card.
Patterned papers are Aspen; Cardstock is Outdoor Denim & Creme Brulee; Ink is Outdoor Denim - all Close To My Heart; Stamp set is Peace on Earth, Verve;  Seeing Stars dies, Taylored Expressions.

Freshly Made Sketches #104

I bought this Verve stamp set just after the holidays last winter, so this is the first chance that I've had to ink it up!  I knew it would work perfectly on the vertical pennant shape on this week's Freshly Made Sketch:
Patterned papers are Aspen; Cardstock is Outdoor Denim, Creme Brulee & White Daisy; Ink is Outdoor Denim; - all Close To My Heart; Stamp is Peace on Earth, Verve; Stars dies are Taylored Expressions.

Unscripted Sketches #130

I'm on a roll with my Aspen papers... and this is another effort to learn to use my Copics.  I'm pretty pleased with the results (luckily there's not a lot of colouring on a snowman!)  I used this week's Unscripted Sketch as my start:
Patterned papers are Aspen; Cardstock is Kraft, Twilight & White Daisy; Stamp sets are Bundled Up & Festive Thoughts; Ink is Desert Sand - all CTMH. Spellbinders die; Baker's Twine is from The Twinery;

Play Date Cafe Challenge #98 & Heart2Heart Challenge

I couldn't believe that I had the absolute perfect papers for this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge!  So I took the opportunity to get another Christmas card added to my pile.  This week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge was to use our favourite colour combo, and while I can't say that I have an absolute favourite, I've always loved these papers, so that's what I'm going with!

Stamp set is Glad Tidings, Verve; Sweet Scallop Tag die, Verve; Patterned papers are Aspen; Cardstock is Outdoor Denim, Creme Brulee & White Daisy; Inks are Twilight & Outdoor Denim; Creme Brulee marker; Outdoor denim organdy & Bigger Brads; Snowflake buttons - all CTMH.
