Flaunt It Girlfriends

 I have a wacky Art Impressions Girlfriends card for you today, using one of the recently released sets - here is Flaunt It Set (Sku# 4756):

 I wanted a little glimmer, so after colouring the image with Copic markers, I added some Wink of Stella to the tiara, hatband, glasses and hair tie.  I popped the sentiment up with pop dots and added my favourite enamel Gum Drops!

 There are three sentiments in the set, and I used another one on the inside, with a pair of glasses that I die cut from some brown glitter paper:

Copic markers used: Skin tones - E37, E34, E31, E00, E000, E11, R20

Hair - Y26, Y23, E50, E15, E13, E18, E07, E02

Pinks - RV19, RV17, RV14, RV13, RV10

Oranges - YR18, YR16, YR15, YR12

New Ai Stackers!

Art Impressions has just released a new line called "Stackers" that are now available on the Art Impressions website!

The Design Team are all sharing cards made with the five new images and the Slider die.  Today, I'm sharing Dog Stackers (Sku #4740):

 This is what the card looks like when the recipient receives it - I created a sliding tab with some taupe cardstock, rounded the bottom edge and stapled on a piece of ribbon to act as a pull tab.  The green frame was cut with the Slider Die (Sku #4764).  Here is what the card looks like when the tab is pulled out:

Our current challenge on the Ai blog is "Slide On By" - we want you to have a hidden element on your card, like a slider or a flap, etc.

Jean from Art Impressions!

 The Golden Oldies are such classic Ai images!!  I really love using them for cards - today I'm sharing Jean (Sku # T3476) paired up with Not Deaf (Sku # E3477) as my sentiment:

 The socks and the tennis balls simply make the image - and I love that she's all dolled up with earrings and makeup!

 I zigzagged with my sewing machine to finish her off, added some enamel dots and popped up my sentiment.

Jealous Too

 I have another Art Impressions image that is available through Hobby Lobby stores to share today - this is one of the wood mount images that includes the sentiment on the same block.  Here is Jealous Too (Sku #4713):

 I stamped the image and coloured her with Copic markers, then stamped her again on some polka dot paper which I cut out to paper piece her dress.  I die cut the image in an oval shape and popped her up with pop dots.  I took my next largest oval die, and cut out a larger oval in the striped paper, which I also mounted onto the base with pop dots.  It gave a little added interest to a fairly simple card.  I added a few grey pearls, and that's it!

Two More Father's Day cards

I made up two more fairly quick & easy Father's Day cards this weekend... I had the Grillfather stamped and ready to go, so picked out some papers and coloured him up to match.  The navy/melon coloured card has been sitting in pieces on my desk since the first Viva La Verve sketch came out in early June - so I finally got it assembled:

Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Yay!  It's here again!  The Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is happening this week, and I haven't missed one yet, so even though I'm busy at work, and have a pile of card making commitments on my craft desk... Inspired By #20

I'm up as hostess on the Inspired By All The Little Things blog today - with an inspiration photo that I adore!  I'm a camera buff, so when I came across this vintage turquoise camera, I thought it was fabulous!

My wonderful niece Allie sent me the stamp set from Close To My Heart a few months ago - "Life In Pictures" so this was the perfect opportunity to pull it out.  Then... a few weeks ago I was at the One Crazy Stamper store and spotted this vintage camera paper from Bella Blvd, that just happened to be grey & aqua??  It's like it was all meant to be :o)  So I made a collage style card:
