If I had a Flower...

This card came about as a test run for a swap card that I'm working on (and if any of you HAS swappers are listening, trust me, it will look vastly different!)  But I need to test out my layout & measurements.  The only thing I'd do differently on this version if I was to make it again, is to do black zigzag stems, as the taupe thread doesn't show up enough:
Patterned papers are Wings; Cardstock is Vineyard Berry, Juniper, Black and Colonial White; Stamp set is Thoughts of You; Black Hemp; Black Mini-Medley buttons, Licorice Opaque Pearls; Black Ink - all CTMH; Scallop border die is Taylored Expressions; Spellbinders scallop circle die.

A Stella card

The Stella paper pack has such wonderful papers!  One of them is all sewing pattern pieces - so it put me in the mood to do a sewing themed card.  This is one that we're making in my April card class (they'll be doing stamped stitching instead of the real version that I did).  I used chalk to colour in the dress (it matches perfectly in real life, the pic is a bit off) and I used Copic markers to colour the rhinestones to match the dress:

Patterned papers are Stella, Stamp sets are Tailor Made & Happy Birthday, Cardstock is Colonial White & Chocolate; Chalk, Rhinestones and button - all CTMH.

The Cupcake Diva's latest

My daughter's cupcake business has been booming this month... and I haven't shared in a while.  Be sure to scroll down, her crowning glory is the last photo!  She started off by making 200 royal icing flowers in 4 different colours, then did both vanilla & chocolate versions:
And finally, she made one special cupcake for her girlfriend's birthday... if you're on Pinterest at all, you've seen this idea floating around, so she just had to give it a try (it was a huge hit!):

A Dotty Butterfly

You're getting a (gasp!) sneak peak of our April/May promotional paper pack called "Dotty" today!  This is a card that we're doing in an upcoming card class that I'm teaching (so if you're coming, it's a sneak peak for you, too!).  I stamped the butterfly a second time onto Creme Brulee cardstock, sponged the center, glittered the edges and glued only the middle down, so that the wings stick up.
Patterned paper is Dotty; Cardstock is White Daisy, Creme Brulee & Grey Wool; Stamp set is A Butterfly; Ink is Grey Wool & Smoothie; Prisma glitter; Licorice Opaque Pearls; Twine - all CTMH.

Patterned papers & decorative brad are Graceful, Echo Park; Stamp set is Happy Birthday, CTMH; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Cuttlebug flower dies, Large scallop border die - Taylored Expressions.

March Sketch For You To Try

So far I'm 3 for 3... I've been able to participate in the Sketch For You To Try each month this year - hopefully I can keep it up :o)  I had fun distressing some of my Key Ingredients goodies for my card, and kept it fairly simple - I had a difficult time pulling this sketch together:

Patterned paper is My Mind's Eye, Rosy (Key Ingredients kit); Stamp set is Words of Wisdom, Verve; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Wooden buttons, CTMH;
