Art Impressions Southwest Watercolour Mini

I pulled out my Tombow markers and the new Ai Watercolor Mini - Southwest (Sku #4763) recently and painted up a storm!  So today I have two cards to share with you from my paintfest:
Both images are quite similar, I changed up the colours of the foliage a little, and added a bit of a design to one of the pots.  I used my Tombow markers to colour directly onto the stamps, and after using my damp paintbrush to soften the lines, I went back in and added some colour by scribbling the markers onto my palette, and picking up the colour with my brush.  It doesn't show much in the photos, but there is a lovely pale turquoise sky around the plants.

There are all kinds of Ai Watercolor videos on our You Tube channel done by both Bonnie & Kendra that give step by step instructions on using the wonderful Ai Watercolor stamp sets  You can find the one that is using the Southwest stamp set here.

Ai Girlfriends Bench Set

Hello Ai fans!
The cooler weather is definitely sneaking up on us here north of the border... we woke up to 1/2" of snow covering the ground this weekend!!  Luckily it all melted an hour later, but that's still pretty early, even for the Great White North.  So it's only fitting that I share a card that's perfect for these cooler days.  Here is one of the 2015 Girlfriends sets - Bench Set (Sku #4546):
I popped up the image and sentiment with some pop dots, and added a few gumdrops to jazz things up a little.  Happy stamping!
Copics used: Reds - R59, R37, R35, R32, R30

Golfers card

Today is my day over on the Art Impressions blog, so I am bringing you my two favourite golfers (Golfers sku#CS3467).  I love the expressions on the faces of these two - they're all business.  And the fact that they're dressed to the nines - as every golfer should be.  I had fun paper piecing their outfits, and coloured them up with Copic markers:
The inside sentiment is :"Getting old is just a part of life...you go first."
Don't forget that our Anything Goes challenge is still on until Wednesday October 2nd at 5pm PST - you can find the details here (there are some pretty amazing prizes to win!).  We'll have a brand new challenge here on the blog on Thursday.

A Stella card

The Stella paper pack has such wonderful papers!  One of them is all sewing pattern pieces - so it put me in the mood to do a sewing themed card.  This is one that we're making in my April card class (they'll be doing stamped stitching instead of the real version that I did).  I used chalk to colour in the dress (it matches perfectly in real life, the pic is a bit off) and I used Copic markers to colour the rhinestones to match the dress:

Patterned papers are Stella, Stamp sets are Tailor Made & Happy Birthday, Cardstock is Colonial White & Chocolate; Chalk, Rhinestones and button - all CTMH.
