Golfing Thank You cards

Yes, that's right - Golfing Thank you cards!  My daughter worked for a Sports Mgmt Agency this summer, and they put on several major golf tournaments that she was very involved in.  So when she needed thank you cards to give to the people she worked with, I knew that I had several to choose from.  Here's what I came up with for her using Par-Tee Golfers and Gordon Golfer set from Art Impressions:

I have a masculine card today, using this week's Seize the Sketch as my starting point, and using Art Impression's Gordon Golfer Set (Sku#4325):

Here's a closeup of Gordon:

Gordon Golfer

Hello and a belated Merry Christmas to everyone!  My posting was cut off a little early before Christmas last week, when we had 2 ice storms sweep through Toronto... and after the second one hit, we lost power for 52 hours!  Luckily the weather hovered just below freezing for the first couple of days, and just when it was diving to -18 (celsuis!) our power came back on in the wee hours of Christmas Eve.  It was an interesting few days trying to stay warm, and accomplish as much of the pre-Christmas hustle as we could without electricity.  Thank goodness for our gas fireplace, that kept the house in the 50's and low 60's.  We were the fortunate ones that were only without power for 2 days, there are still 50,000+ people without power - and this is 7 days later.  Scroll down to the bottom of my post, and you'll see a couple of ice storm photos.
Meanwhile... I have a brother-in-law with a birthday in early January, and he is a big golfer, so I've pulled out the Gordon Golfer set (sku#4325) from Art Impressions to make him a card:
And here is a close up of Gordon:

And here is what my weeping mulberry looked like with over an inch of ice... and a sunset shot of the pink sky reflected in the icy tree branches:

Gordon Golfer cards

It's my day on the Art Impressions blog, so I am sharing a couple of fun cards for the men in your life using the Gordon Golfer Set (sku#4325).
I stamped Gordon several times on Cream cardstock, then coloured him up with Copic markers.  For my first card, I also paper pieced his Plus-fours, added some pennant trim, and split the sentiment (the other half is on the inside):

For my second card, I added a pop of red, some buttons and another pennant die cut to the card, and I cut up some bingo cards that were also part of this paper pack to peek out behind Gordon:

Do you know why they are called Plus-Fours??  It's because this style of golf pant is the length of the outseam from waist to knee, +4"!  There are also Plus-Sixes and Plus-Eights as well.  (Just a little golf clothing trivia for you :o)  Happy stamping everyone!
