Penguin Christmas Card

I have an Art Impressions Christmas card to share today using some fun, non-traditional papers with the Warm Your Heart Set (Sku #4519):

I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the pink poinsettia, and hilighted it with my clear Wink of Stella pen for a little glimmer.  Here's a closeup of my penguin:
And here is the inside message:

Don't forget to join in our Humorous/Punny challenge!  You can link up your creation here - there are always fabulous prizes to be won!

Cupcake Shaker card

Everyone should have a sparkly child.  Mine just happens to be turning 17 today.  Ever since she was little, she would always be attracted to anything glittery, sparkly or glitzy.  I'm pretty much the complete opposite, so when I'm cardmaking, she's always trying to get me to sparkle things up a little.  She is also an amazing cupcake baker, which is why I purchased this stamp set immediately when Verve brought it out in September.  I knew a shaker card was the way to go, since I could fill it with tons of glittery sequins.  Here's what I came up with:

I used my pink Wink of Stella pen on the cherry, so it's sparkly, too.
Have a great day :o)

Patterned papers are Molly, Bella Blvd; Cardstock is Outdoor Denim, Bubblegum & White Daisy - CTMH;  Ink is Outdoor Denim, Bubblegum, Whisper & Baby Pink - CTMH;  Stamp set is Cupcakes, Verve;  Sequins, Verve.

Viva La Verve & Pink Power

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I decided to use Verve's Pink Power stamp set from their latest release to make a card using the Week 4 sketch from the Viva La Verve challenge blog:
I am also entering this in the Diva Dare challenge for October on the Verve blog, where the theme is "Pink Power".
Patterned papers are Sophia, Cardstock is Cotton Candy, White Daisy & Grey Wool; Ink is Grey Wool - all Close To My Heart; Stamp set is Pink Power, Verve; Dies are Wavy Hearts dies, Verve and Tilda Swirl, Memory Box;  Martha Stewart chunky glitter.

New Ai People!

The Art Impressions design team is helping to launch the latest collection of Ai People now available on the Art Impressions website today!  I've made two 5 1/2" square cards using Don't Sweat It Set (Sku #4528):

The inside sentiment is "another year... Don't Sweat It!"

I thought these fun Spellbinders arrow dies made cute accents.  We are launching four new stamp sets today, so head on over to the Ai blog to see what the rest of the design team has to share.  We are also starting a new challenge today - "Humourous/Punny cards" since that's what Ai People are all about.
Happy stamping!

Santa Shake!

I'm on a Christmas card roll these days... so I've used the fun Santa Shake Set (Sku#4348) from Art Impressions to make a 5 1/2" square card with an Action Wobble on the inside:
For me, classic red & green never gets old on holiday cards... and I love the strong contrast provided by the black base.  I carried the papers through to the inside of the card, and Santa's derriere is popped up on an Action Wobble so that his booty shakes when you give it a little flick!  The sentiment is "Jingle Bell ROCK!"

You can find all of the Ai Shake Your Booty sets here on the Ai website.  There is still time to join in with our Fancy Folds challenge - you can link up your creation on the Ai blog for a chance to win a prize.  Happy stamping!

Another Coffee Card

If you saw my post on Sept 30th with my set of four coffee cards... then you'll recognize the theme here!  I will likely give the cards as a gift, and want to add a couple more to the set, so here is my latest, using the Viva La Verve Week #1 sketch:

Patterned papers are Farmhouse, October Afternoon; Cardstock is Kraft, Colonial White & Twilight, CTMH; Stamp set is Coffee, Verve; Coffee die, Verve.  Ink is Rich Cocoa, Memento and Honey & Champagne, CTMH.

Mojo Monday #367

I got a lovely package of happy mail today... a few weeks back, I won Verve's entire October release for one of my coffee cards (yay me!).  I could hardly wait to open it up and start creating.  Two of the stamp sets are perfect to make cards for someone fighting breast cancer, and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness month - I wanted to make and post a few cards.  Here is, I'm sure, the first of many using this week's Mojo Monday sketch:
The October Verve Diva Dare is "Pink Power", so I am entering this there as well!

Patterned papers are Sweetheart, CTMH; Cardstock is Grey Wool, Cotton Candy & White Daisy, CTMH; Inks are Black & Cotton Candy, CTMH; Stamp sets are Pink Power & Better Together, Verve; Dies are Pennant Trim and Ribbon, Verve.

New Art Impressions Note-Ables!

Art Impressions is launching a brand new line of stamps today on the Ai website, called "Note-ables"!  I am sharing a notecard and bookmark today using Elle Note-able (Sku #4510):

You write your little note on the inside of the card, and then tuck the edge up under his feet!  Here's a view with the note opened up:

And this is what the sweet bookmark looks like when he's holding your page:

There are four new Note-ables (see below!) and each one comes with the main image, a sentiment, and a 'doo-dad' to decorate the inside.
Check out this wonderful how-to video done by Kate from Art Impressions to show you how fun they are to put together:

We have a Fancy Folds challenge going on for another week on the Art Impressions blog - you can link up your creation here.

Old Guys Rule

I have a masculine card for you today... using the wonderful Old Guys Rule set (Sku #4474) from Art Impressions:

Graphic Birthday

Just another quick card that I made this week for a family birthday.  I'd had the zigzag die cuts sitting on my desk for a while - they're negative die cuts from a card that I made a while ago.  I just received the "happy" die, and thought that they'd all work well together:

Zigzag die, My Favortie Things; Happy die, Avery Elle; Stamp is Say It In Style, CTMH; Cardstock is White Daisy, Black, Moonlight, Tulip, Sorbet & Creme Brulee - all CTMH; Enamel Dots, Your Next Embellie.

A Masculine Birthday Card

We are celebrating my brother-in-law's birthday this weekend... so I pulled out "Cliff (Sku #1553)" from Art Impressions along with the fun sentiment: "Cleverly Disguised (Sku #2630)" for a pretty fun card :o)
Patterned papers are Fresh Anthology, Sydney by Making Memories; Cardstock is White Daisy & Dutch Blue, CTMH; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Copic Markers; Stamps are Cliff & Cleverly Disguised, both Art Impressions.

The Paper Players #216

I had one more Witch Wanda image coloured up in greyscale... so I decided to make up another Halloween card when I saw that this week's theme challenge on The Paper Players was Halloween...  I've also been wanting to use this background paper on a card somehow (it reminds me of a paint chip!) and thought that this might work:
Patterened papers are Frightful, MME; Cardstock is Black & Colonial White, CTMH; Stamp set is Witch Wanda, Art Impressions; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Copic Markers; Baker's Twine, The Twinery; Enamel dots, Your Next Embellie; Cricut Artiste Cartridge.

Harvest Tryfold card

I have one of the fabulous Art Impressions 'Try'folds to share today... I'm using Harvest TF (Sku#4205):
The Tryfolds make such lovely cards, and people are just amazed at how clever you are when they receive them!!  All of the details on cutting, stamping and folding are included with your stamp set, which makes it easy peasy to put one of these together.
The sentiment is "Sow kindness harvest friendship"

I used Copics to colour the images, but used more of a typical marker colouring style with brush strokes and a fairly loose hand - rather than a doing a lot of blending.

You can find all of the Ai Tryfolds here.  And to make it even easier for you, you can also purchase a package of 8 precut & folded cards and envelopes all ready to make your own Tryfolds.
 Happy Stamping everyone!
Copics used: W7, W5, W3, W1, B23, B21, YG97, YG95, YG93, YG91, E57, E55, E53, E51, YR18, YR16, YR15, YR12, E09, BV08, BV04, BV02.
