Glitter & Shimmer Challenge

The Art Impressions Design Team are all sharing projects today for the current challenge on the Ai blog: "Glitter & Shimmer Challenge"!  I am bling-challenged at the best of times!  But I can definitely add a little sparkle now and then.  Today I am sharing three cards made with one of the Shake Your Booty sets called Dancer Set (Sku #4308):

 These were fun to put together.  I coloured them all up with different skin tones/hair colour, then paper pieced their outfits.  The circles & sentiments are popped up on pop dots, and a few adhesive sparkles were added.  Here are some close ups:

 The "Glamorous" sentiment is from the Pamper Yourself clear stamp set that is available at Hobby Lobby stores.

 One thing that I almost NEVER do, is to have a plain white card base?!  And this is the second one that I've done in the last few weeks.  These plaid papers just look so fresh & clean paired up with white.  And of course, I need to show you the inside - where her tush has been paper pieced, cut out and put onto an Action Wobble so that her booty shakes.

I am posting on the Art Impressions blog today.

It was my husband's birthday a few days ago, so I made a fun Shake Your Booty card for him using the Bummer Set (Sku#4241)

While I was at it... I made a spare:

Santa Shake!

I'm on a Christmas card roll these days... so I've used the fun Santa Shake Set (Sku#4348) from Art Impressions to make a 5 1/2" square card with an Action Wobble on the inside:

For me, classic red & green never gets old on holiday cards... and I love the strong contrast provided by the black base.  I carried the papers through to the inside of the card, and Santa's derriere is popped up on an Action Wobble so that his booty shakes when you give it a little flick!  The sentiment is "Jingle Bell ROCK!"

A Little Behind

I am posting on the Art Impressions blog today!

I have two Shake Your Booty cards for you today, using the A Little Behind Set (Sku #4244):

I've used a pretty neutral palette today, with just a few subtle changes between the two:

And here is the inside, with the kitty's behind popped up on an Action Wobble, and the sentiment: "Always a little behind" - perfect for a belated birthday wish.

Father's Day Disco card

I have a Father's Day card to share with you today, using one of the fun Shake Your Booty sets from Art Impressions: Disco Set (Sku #4307).

My father has been known to wear... well, let's go with "bright" attire on occassion, so I thought this card would work for when he's in a bit of a goofball mood.  I've used the new FDMD Set (Sku #4454) for the Father's Day sentiment.  Here's the inside:

The inside sentiment comes with the Disco Set, and is: "Shake Your Booty!"

His little derriere is paper pieced and popped up on an action wobble!

I also did a version without the Father's Day sentiment, that can be used for a birthday or other occassion.

Use your stash!

We are launching our first challenge of 2014 over on the Art Impressions blog today... and we want you to use something from your stash of supplies!  I have had this image coloured up and ready to go for almost 6mths... had even chosen what papers I'd use, and finally got it made up into a card.  I've used one of the Shake Your Booty sets: Hula Set (Sku#4306) and these fun papers from Graphic 45:

I love this spunky gal in her coconut bra... but the real fun is on the inside - I've popped up the grass skirt on an Action Wobble, and the sentiment says "Shake Your Grass":

Gobble 'Till You Wobble! Blog Hop

The Art Impressions Design Team is hopping today to share the newest Ai Shake Your Booty sets!

 Oh my goodness, these are SO much fun - if you haven't tried them before, you'll want to visit all the blogs today to check out all the sets.  Shake Your Booty stamps have a head & shoulders image that goes on the front of your card, and a "derriere" stamp that goes on the inside.  The inside stamp is popped up on an Action Wobble, giving the booty stamp a little shake when you open up your card.  I'm featuring the Hula Set (Sku#UM4306):

 

Don't you just adore her coconut bra?  I popped her up over a leafy die cut that I thought looked a lot like tropical palm leaves, and put one of the sentiments from the Uptown Girls Set (Sku#4129) on the front.  Now for the fun part:

There's my little wobbly grass skirt on the left, and the sentiment on the right says "Shake your GRASS!"  Too funny - it's a perfect card for one of your sassier friends :o)  Here's a close up:
