A Cute Little Blowfish

 I am sharing one of the most recent Art Impressions Zoo Crew images today: Deep Breath Birthday (Sku #4471).  This is a great image to colour & shade, as you want to make him look as spherical as possible!  I kept the colours bright & fun:

New Zoo Crew!

The Art Impressions design team is helping to launch two new Zoo Crew images today!  It is also week two of our Big Birthdays challenge on the Ai blog, and the Zoo Crew sets fit the bill perfectly.  I am using Hog Wild Birthday(Sku #4472):

I made this card fairly large - it's 5 3/4" square, as I didn't want the image to be too crowded by the design...  Both of the patterned papers are stitched down to their navy mats, and the white die cut was zigzagged onto it's fuschia mat.  Our little hoglet is popped up on pop dots so that she gracefully floats over the circle... and I used a clear Wink of Stella pen on her leotard and the icing to give them a little shimmer.

Zoo Crew card

I am posting on the Art Impressions blog today! (This is my second post for today, please scroll down to see my One Crazy Stamper post)

I have a masculine card to share with you, using one of the fun Zoo Crew images: Buzzard Set (Sku#4194).  I find guy cards a little bit harder to embellish... so I tend to keep them on the simpler side, but I used a chevron embossing folder on my cardstock background to give the card a little extra texture and jazz it up a little:

Mocha, vodka, valium latte to go...

 I am posting on the Art Impressions blog today!  Now, if you're a scrapbooking Mom who has taken your kids to the zoo... chances are you have some giraffe patterned paper kicking around... (raise your hands, you know who you are!).  So when I sat down to make today's card, I thought hmmm... and sure enough, I had not one, but two pieces of giraffe patterned paper!  He was so much fun to colour - here's what I came up with using Giraffe Set (Sku #4190):
