Set of Thank You cards

I made up ten thank you cards to give as part of a bridal shower gift.  I made the shower invitations for this bride, so wanted to make the cards in a similar design.

I made five of each design.  Both use the Fresh Picked Buttercups dies (even though they're 'supposed' to be Forget-Me-Nots!).

I used Altenew's Dotted Tile piercing plate for all the backgrounds, adding a little ink blending behind the arches.  I created an arch using Essential Arches for the peach arch, and Arch Pierce and Punch dies for the blue one.  The sentiments are all cut in brushed silver, double layered - using Serenade Sentiment dies all from Spellbinders.

Bridal Shower card

I had these bits and pieces on my craft desk from another project, and needed a bridal shower card - so they were perfect!

This is the Arch Pierce and Press plate, Fresh Picked Buttercups and Serenade Sentiments.
I used the Essential Arches dies to cut the card base into the arch shape.  All dies are Spellbinders.

The outer and inner arches are popped up with 3D foam adhesive.  I added a little ink blending to the flowers and to the peach arch shape.

Golden Bloom SocieTea cards

Spellbinders does a craft-along event once a month, called the Betterpress SocieTea!  I played along with Erin, switching things up a little with what I had on hand.

I glimmered the February Betterpress Society press plate, Radiant Blooms in Rose Gold foil, on some melon coloured cardstock.  I used the Arched Expressions dies to cut out an arch shape from my panel, and then cut a larger one out of some mango cardstock.

I used my Fresh Picked Buttercups dies for the florals, and popped up a pressed sentiment from the You Are Everything sentiments.  I few gold pearls picked up the glimmer from the foil.

I had the lovely foiled, arch frame leftover, so wanted to make a companion card.  I added the mango cardstock behind the opening, used the same flowers, and decided to use a sympathy sentiment.  You can get a Betterpress Society subscription from The Papercrafter's Workshop.

Radiant Blooms

My first project with the February Betterpress Society plate, Radiant Blooms was hot foiled onto some pale peach cardstock.

As a bonus this month, we received a roll of rose gold foil, so that's what I used on my panel.  I pulled out the scalloped frame dies from Pinkfresh Studio, cut it out of some metallic rose gold cardstock, and layered it on a second frame for some dimension before adhering it to my base.

I used the flowers from my Fresh Picked Buttercups die set, and cut the flowers out of peach cardstock that was a shade darker.   I added a sentiment from the You Are Everything press plate set, that was pressed with Lisa Horton's Copper Pot metallic ink.

Shower Invitation

This is just version number one for a shower invitation I'm creating for a girlfriend... I will post the final product when I start mass producing in a few weeks.

Forget-Me-Nots are meaningful to the bride & her Mom, so I got as close as I could with Spellbinders Fresh Picked Buttercups.

I used an Altenew piercing plate for the base, with a little ink blending to warm it up.  I cut and stacked two frames using the Essential Arches dies, with a little blush ink in the corner, then layered my floral sprig overtop.  I cut the Celebrate from metallic gold cardstock, layered twice, and added a few gold pearls.

We are tweaking the colours a little to match the bridal party colours, which should be lovely!

Wedding cards

I have two cards to share today that are remakes of cards of mine.  A friend picked them off of my Instagram feed, as she needed a couple of wedding cards.  I remade both of them with a few tweaks:

This is the Fresh Picked Buttercups die set from Spellbinders, remade exactly, just with the silver metallic sentiment from the Serenade Sentiments dies.

The slimline card had a few more changes, the stenciling was the same, but I added two of the white sprigs, changed the sentiment, and added a few blue iridescent jewels.

More Fresh Picked!

I have another colourway using two of the Fresh Picked die sets from Spellbinders.

These are the Fresh Picked Anemones and Fresh Picked Buttercups dies

Love this colour combo of two warm blush pink shades, with an icy blue/green on a navy base.  And a little silver glitter cardstock for some sparkle.

All sentiments are Betterpress on Porcelain cotton card panels.

Bridal Buttercup card

My daughter was in need of a wedding card, and I had just been playing with the beautiful Fresh Picked Buttercups die from Spellbinders, when I had the idea that it would look stunning in all-white.  The set did not disappoint!  I cut the entire die out of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, and glued it onto my 110lb base.

Since the bridesmaids are wearing pink, I decided to add just a hint of Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink to the flower centers and buds, and then for a little glimmer, the centers were coated with clear Wink of Stella.

The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio's Perfect Sentiments, embossed in gold, and stacked with 3 layers to give it a little dimension.  When I attached the flowers, I only added glue to the centers, and bent the petals upwards which gives the card a lovely delicate look.

Congrats Nik & Naza!

Buttercups

A few weeks ago I posted another colour version of this card, and it's just so pretty, that I had to make a new one.  My daughter needs a wedding card, and this may end up being what she uses.  This is the Spellbinders Freshly Picked Buttercups die set, cut out of a warm green and pale blue, then a little ink blending was added to give some shading.  I used a wonderful gold glitter cardstock to cut out the centers, and everything was glued onto some textured turquiose cardstock.

The sentiment is from the It's Your Day Betterpress plate set.

Fresh Picked Buttercups

Happy Groundhog Day!  Not sure if Wiarton Willie has seen his shadow this morning, or not, as he lives a little ways away from us... but either way, I have a fresh new card to share today.

This is the Fresh Picked Buttercups die set from Spellbinders, that I just received, and have had SO much fun playing with.  I was worried that it would be difficult to adhere to the base, but once you have your layout set, it wasn't hard at all.

I used some Wild Honey and Dried Marigold distress inks to warm up the centers of my flowers.  The sentiment is a Betterpress plate "You Are Everything Sentiments" done on cream cardstock.
Stay tuned, I've got a bunch of these in the works!
