Art Impressions has really knocked it out of the park this season with their amazing floral stamp sets. 5267 Floral Invites is one set that I can't get enough of... so I'm going to share a bunch of cards over the next few days. Here's my first:
I started by choosing my colour palette, and colouring the image with Copic Markers. I knew that I wanted an ink blended background, so I fussy cut the image out to show it off. On my white cardstock base, I started by blending Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink, and then went overtop with Shaded Lilac to create that blue/green colour - I know, it's a little bit of an odd combination, but I was really pleased with the results. I scribbled my Tombow Dual Brush marker in #565 Deep Blue onto a palette, and picked it up with a wet paintbrush - then created spatters over the whole base, along with a few sprinkles of straight water to add a little interest. I die cut one of the sentiments included in the set and mounted it and the wreath with 3D foam tape onto the base.
