I was able to get five cards made today... but can only post this one, until my daughter's birthday later this month.  I love this month's VLV Sketch - a good classic card design, which can be used so many ways.  So here is the latest Verve digi set Coffee Please, and some older Doodlebug papers:

Last two Card Kits

Oh my, these are the cutest little elf images from the most recent High Hopes release!  I couldn't resist making them into card kits with some wonderful traditional red & green papers.  Here is Card Kit #19 with Elvin Eldar RR014 and Sm Christmas Script F051:

 And here is my favourite - Card Kit #20 using Alvin Elvin RR010 with Have your Elf H094 as the sentiment:

 These kits have me feeling so festive!  Each kit contains card bases, envelopes, rubber stamps and all of the cut pieces shown here to put together four identical cards as shown.  A full colour instruction sheet is included along with Copic marker colour suggestions - although you can colour them with whatever medium & colours that you choose.  The instructions also include all of the cut measurements so that you can make more cards using whatever papers you have on hand.  The best part?  You'll have four cards made up in no time, and the stamps are yours to keep.  You'll see all six of the current card kits here in the One Crazy Stamper online store.  Stay tuned... New Ai Wiggle Wobbles

I have some fun Skeleton cards to share today - these are a new line of interactive cards by Art Impressions called "Wiggle Wobbles".  The sets include stamps, dies, an Action Wobble and brads to make a fun wobbly skeleton.  Here is Skeleton Wiggle Wobble (Sku #4952):

 The set comes with the torso, arm, leg, apendage, hat and bowtie stamps and their matching dies, and the sentiment stamp.  It may look like a lot to put together, but this particular Wiggle Wobble didn't require a lot of colouring!  So after stamping and quickly adding a touch of colour, I die cut all the pieces and assembled them with the brads included in the kit.  This was my first attempt at a Distress Oxide ink background - and I quite like how it turned out!

 For these two cards, I pulled out my Kuretake Gansai Tambei watercolours, which have such bold pigment - making for some fun, bright, painted creations.

 For two of the cards, I stitched around the outside with some black thread, and I mounted all of the sentiments with pop darts.  After my skeletons were all assembled, they are each adhered to the cards with a Mini Action Wobble, so when you give them a little flick, they wiggle and wobble all over.

Art Impressions Thanksgiving

 I am feeling thankful today!  So it's a good day to share a couple of cards using Art Impressions' Full of Thanks Set (Sku #4939):

Salted Caramel Wishes

So excited to be playing along with a couple of challenges today!  I am using the Freshly Made Sketch #307, and the inspiration from the Curtain Call challenge.  It's also the first chance that I've had to use the newest digital stamp set from Verve... so here's what I've come up with:

I pulled out some Lawn Fawn plaids and their Knock on Wood paper for my background, and I grabbed my Banner Bundle and Sprightly Sprigs dies from Verve to add as well.

More OCS Card Kits

Well the weather where I live has finally settled into some fall-like temperatures, so it's the perfect time to settle into your craft room and get started on your Christmas cards!  One Crazy Stamper has six new card kits to get you started - I am going to share two new ones with you today.  Here is Card Kit #17 featuring Little Drummer Boy & Friends RR015 with the sentiment Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum H090 both from High Hopes Rubber Stamps:

 Each card kit includes the card bases, envelopes, rubber stamps and all the cut pieces required to make four cards exactly as shown here - even the little poinsettia die cuts and the stars for the Drummer boy card.  There is a full colour instruction sheet that includes a list of suggested Copic markers (you can colour them any way you like, with your preferred medium!) along with the cutting measurements in case you'd like to create more cards using your own paper.  So all you need to do is head over to the One Crazy Stamper store in Bolton (if you're nearby!) or to the website here to see all of the card kits... then after a little colouring, you'll have four cards put together faster than you can say "I love cardmaking!"

Tuesday Threads with Karen

 It's the September edition of Tuesday Threads with Karen, over on the Art Impressions blog

When I first learned that Art Impressions had come out with the Shop Hop fabric line available through Henry Glass Co., I immediately thought of the Ai Girlfriends stamp set called Quilt Set (Sku #4544) and wanted to make something to coordinate with the quilt in the image.  I decided to make a quilted style project that I've put into an embroidery hoop that can be hung on the wall of my craft room.  I made a matching mug rug as well:

I'm using an 8" diameter hoop, so I decided that I would do a pattern of squares that are all 3 1/4" after being sewn together.  I cut all of my pieces, including squares of Therm-O-Web's medium weight fusible Tricot interfacing that I fused on the back of each square of fabric.  I traced a heart shape onto the pink print, and adhered it to the cream square using Therm-O-Web's Heat n Bond Lite iron-on adhesive.

Using some embroidery floss, I did a blanket stitch around the raw edge of the heart to finish it off:

After a good pressing, I placed my finished square into the embroidery hoop.  On the backside, I hand sewed a running stitch around the excess fabric that was not in the hoop, and cinched it up so that the fabric is hidden underneath.  Now it's ready to hang on a nail on the wall!

While I was cutting my fabrics, I decided that a mugrug was in order, so I cut out a front and back square ( 3 3/4") along with a square of Therm-O-Web's Hi-loft Fusible Fleece to sandwich in between:

I cut another pink fabric heart, adhered it in the same way, and stitched around the edges again with embroidery floss.  I also used my sewing machine to stitch through all the layers, about 1/4" around the heart.  I sewed on the bias tape, carefully mitering the corners (I'm getting better at this!) and handsewed it down on the backside:

And finally, I coloured up the gals in the quilt.  I used all the vibrant shades that are in the spool fabric to colour the image with Copic markers, and kept the rest of the card bright & fun.
