Mood Swing

I'm back using some of the brand new Art Impressions Vintage Vixens today - here is a card made with Mood Swing Set (Sku #4593):
I wanted it to have a bit of a Country Fair feel to it - which is why I chose these papers.  I stamped the gals, and coloured them with Copic markers, then fussy cut them out, quite close to the image.  I added pop dots to give the card a bit of dimension.
Happy stamping, everyone!  Copic markers used:
Blues - B97, B95, B93, B91
Reds - R59, R24, R22, R20
Greens - G46, G43, G41
Browns - E57, E55, E53, E51
Greys - W7, W5, W3, W1
Skin tones - E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair - E18, E07, E02, E55, E53, E51

One More Mojo

I'm sneaking in another card for the 400th Mojo Monday sketch... just under the wire!  I have a girlfriend who got some good news after a long battle with breast cancer - and I wanted to make her a card.  Here is Verve's Pink Power in a square card:
Julee is also having a Designer search to add new team members... so I am trying out for that as well :o)
Patterned papers are Sophia, CTMH; Cardstock is Blush, Pear, Hollyhock & White Daisy - CTMH; Ink is Black, CTMH; Stamp set is Pink Power, Verve; Die is Ribbon Die, Verve.

Mojo Monday #400 - Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I am playing along with Mojo Monday today, where Julee is celebrating her 400th sketch!  I decided to team it up with the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, since Verve's coffee stamp sets are among my favourites.  Here's what I came up with:
I had a great time putting this together... I started by clear embossing the Coffee sentiment repeatedly on a piece of watercolour paper, and then used two different brown distress inks to add my watercolour background (it's supposed to look like spilled coffee, get it?)  The dark grey/aqua blue/brown colour combo is a little different, but in person it looks quite amazing!  Here's a different angle to show the mocha sparkles a bit better:
I used a Verve Plain Jane stamp for the inside sentiment:
For her 400th Mojo sketch, Julee went back to her very first sketch from 2007.  I used a little creative license with it, but hopefully you can see the corner element and word background in my card!
Be sure to check out the rest of the hop on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog - it's always inspiring!

Patterned papers are Persimmon, Basic Grey; Stamp sets are Coffee and Simply Irresistible Plain Jane, Verve; Dies are Classy Label Die & From the Heart, Verve; Vintage Photo & Tea Dye distress inks; Rich Cocoa ink by Memento.

Open Window Watercolour

Did you see the brand new Watercolor Minis that Art Impressions released a few weeks ago?  There are six brand new sets available in the Ai store - you can find them all here.  I am using Open Window (Sku #4608):

These are so easy to use!  There are four stamps included in the set: the window frame, the planter box, a flower spray and a vine.  I coloured with Tombow markers directly onto the stamps, and stamped them onto watercolour paper.  Then with a damp paintbrush, I softened the lines of the images, and pulled the colour out to paint the shutters and panes of glass.  I coloured directly on the paper with a purpley/blue marker to add the shadows, and again softened it with my paintbrush.  This is about a 5 minute effort:
In addition to the Minis... Ai has a huge selection of watercolour sets in the Ai store - check them out!
Happy painting!

Backyard Boss

June brings us Father's Day, and for me - I have several male birthdays that I need cards for, so I thought I'd share a masculine card today using one of the Ai Heroes from Art Impressions: "Backyard Boss"
There's just something about a leaf blower... when the men in my family put ours on, it's like they're ready to destroy any alien life forms that may happen to walk into the backyard (smile) - and this stamp totally reminds me of this!!
Lora has all kinds of masculine stamps in the One Crazy Stamper store - so head on over and check them out!  OCS products used:  Art Impressions Backyard Boss
