Santa Paws

Hello Ai fans! 

I have another wonderful Art Impressions Christmas image to share with you today, here is the adorable 4937 - Santa Paws Set:

This was a fun one to colour!  My image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured up with Copic markers.  I used the 5061 - Square Double Stitched Dies to cut it out, and mounted it on some deep blue cardstock, then adhered it to my base with 3D adhesive foam tape.  

My sentiment was cut twice from some metallic red cardstock, and then I glued the two layers together to make a more substantial piece when I added it to my panel.  A few red rhinestones finished everything off nicely!  The finished card is 5 1/2" square.

25 Days of Christmas Tags

 I love the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event that Tracey McNeely puts on every November.  I am finally getting a chance to play along today!  It's snowing like crazy outside, Michael Buble is playing in the background, and I got 10 Christmas tags made.  It's a good day.

                             

I was inspired by the really sweet tags made by Becky Roberts for Honey Bee Stamps on Day 15.  You can see her version here!

                              

I've used the ever-lovely Perfectly Plaid Christmas papers from Lawn Fawn, cut out with a stitched oval die and then cut in half to make the top of my touque.  I spattered the hats with white paint to suggest a hint of snow, before gluing on my pompoms.

How you bean?

I adore this Lawn Fawn stamp set... and just got a holiday filler add on set(Christmas cookies instead of jelly beans).  I made this for one of my daughter's friends who just got into law school:

My Baby's Birthday

Not exactly a baby any more... she's 22 today!  She is my number one card making fan, and is always willing to give me advice when I ask her about cardmaking dilemmas!!  (Yes, there are cardmaking dilemmas.)  So I always put just a little extra effort into her birthday cards:

I got this adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set "Let's Toast" this summer, along with the Pop-up Add-On Die set which allows you to use the pull tab to make the pop tart or toast pop up out of the toaster.  Genius!  No one does it like Lawn Fawn.  I started by colouring the images with my Copic markers, then die cut them out with the matching Let's Toast dies.  Here is what it looks like before the tab is pulled up:

There are a few steps to creating and assembling the pop-up aspect, but they're not hard, and the card came together pretty quickly.  I added a little Wink of Stella to the edges of the pop tarts and onto the little hearts.  The inside sentiment is simply "Happy Birthday".

  I love it!  Pop tarts were an occasional treat around our house, so I think this will make Paige smile.
