I'm Just Here For The Pie

I've used the Spellbinders Perfect Pies Collection quite a few times, but don't think I've ever made pumpkin pies with it?  What better time than Thanksgiving to put together a little pie card.

I paired it with some fall die cut bits from Sizzix, and some utensils from Your Next Stamp.  The paper is from the Fall S2 pack from Art Impressions.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians who are celebrating this weekend!

The Last Pies

For now.  I have a feeling these will reappear this fall, when pumpkin pie season approaches.  This is the last trio of cards I made with the Spellbinder's Perfect Pies collection by Tina Smith.  Once again, I pulled out my October Afternoon papers to create this set that has a bit of a country fair feel.

And More Pies.

My pie card obsession continues!  I made a whole bunch of these over the past couple of months, and have finally got them completed and photographed.  These are all created with the Spellbinder's Perfect Pies collection by Tina Smith.

October Afternoon papers are some of my all-time favourites, even though the company is long gone, so I pulled them out to create these, along with some Pinkfresh Studio dies.

Enjoy your pie :)

More Perfect Pies

These aren't the kind of cards that you just make one of!  I think I have 14 pie cards in various stages of completion on my craft desk - so you'll be seeing a lot more of them over the next while :-)

This is the Perfect Pies collection by Tina Smith from Spellbinders.  I had cut all of the pie and decor bits when I previously used these sets - it just makes sense to cut and ink blend a whole bunch at the same time, when you have all of the papers out and ready to go.
I'm using up pieces of October Afternoon papers that I've been saving for a long while.  After assembly, a little chunky glitter gave the pastry that sugared-up look.
This should make a nice little gift set.

More Pies...

Two posts in one day!  I couldn't stop making cards with my Perfect Pies products.  Since I had die cut so many pieces, they were fairly quick to assemble, and once I was on a roll...  I used October Afternoon papers that I've been hoarding for years - I always love creating with them:

Perfect Pies

Oh, my goodness!  Be prepared to see a lot of these dies over the next while... These are the Perfect Pies stamp and die collection from Spellbinders.  I've always thought they were adorable, especially with the cute sayings in the stamp set, so was happy to use a few gift cards to purchase the collection.

I can't tell you how many tiny little diecuts I created this weekend!  There are all kinds of tiny pieces, and I pulled out cardstock scraps and cranked out multiples of everything - it's the kind of set where you want to have pieces ready to assemble when you need a card, so I created quite a pile.

The card design is simple, as the diecuts are the star of the show, so I pulled out some patterned paper that I've had for a while, and used the Spellbinder's Hemstitched Rectangle dies to decorate the edges.  The pie crust pieces have been ink blended around the edges to simulate a nicely browned crust!  This is definitely a fiddly type of card to put together - but SO worth it!
