New Art Impressions Zoo Babies Hop!

The Art Impressions design team is hopping today to help launch the new line of Ai Zoo Babies now available on the Art Impressions website.  And OMG are you going to LOVE these little guys - there are four different animals, each with a sentiment.  They would be awesome for a baby or child's card, and would make amazing baby shower items... which is kind of what I was aiming for.  I've done a baby card, with a matching tag and gift bag using Wildly Cute Set (Sku #4534):

You should've come here from Cheri's blog... and your next stop along the way is Kerry.  For a complete list of hoppers today - head back to the Art Impressions blog, which is the first stop on our hop.  While you're there, you can read about the new challenge starting today on the Ai blog, which is Zoo or Animal themed - we hope you'll play along!

Snowman Set

It's the first of the month, which means a brand new challenge on the
One Crazy Stamper blog!  Once again, the Design Team will be bringing you the latest High Hopes release throughout the month of October - so our challenge will continue as Halloween/Christmas projects.  Details are on the OCS blog.
I've put together a little trio of items today to show how this cute little frame stamp can be used on the front of a card, or as a gift tag - just waiting for the "To and From".  I also used my Gift Bag Punch Board to make a matching gift bag to tie my tag onto.  Here are some closeups:

 Happy stamping!

Easter Gift Set

It is my Tuesday post on the Art Impressions blog, today!
Easter is just around the corner, so I've made up a little gift set to celebrate the occassion!  Warning - lots of photos ahead...  One stamp that is definitely a signature image for Art Impressions is "The Fence" (Sku#P1499), and I am using it to make a Front & Back card along with Bunny FB (Sku#K1566), F & B Peeking Rabbit (Sku#K1750), Egg Basket (Sku#G1755) and Got Eggs? (Sku#D4015):
There was a lot of stamping, colouring and fussy cutting for this project - and yes, it did take a little time!  Here's what I started with on my craft table:

I began by colouring and fussy cutting around each piece.  The outer fence is part of the card base, and I glued the second fence to the back side of it.  Then I glued on the die cut grass along the bottom edges.  I added the bunny butts to the outside of the card, and matched their fronts to them on the inside, along with the basket of eggs.  I created a little hillside of gingham paper and glued it to the inside base along with the clouds and sky, then stamped the sentiment, "Got Eggs?":

For the matching treat holder, I cut a 4" x 12" piece of cardstock, scored it at 5 1/4" and 6 3/4", and cut a 2" circle out of one end.  I used a Spellbinders Label die to cut a shape for the top, and a small strip of green cardstock folded over the top.  The bunny was fussy cut and glued over the circle:

I used just the backview image, because I wanted it to look like the bunny was peeking in at the eggs:

I filled a small cello bag with Easter grass and a few chocolate eggs, then sandwiched it between the topper that I stapled on.

Did you see the Mini Front & Back images that we launched here on the blog a few weeks ago?  Well they would all work just perfectly with both the fence and the treat bag idea - and not just for Easter, maybe for a birthday party?  Another occassion?  And be sure to check out the Front & Back section on the Ai website - there are several dozen images to use along with the Fence.
Copic Markers used:
Fence: W1, W3, W5
Bunnies: E51, E53, E55, C1, R20, R22
Basket: E53, E55, E57, Y21, Y23, R81, R83, G40, G43, B01, B00, B000, V20, V22
Happy stamping, & Happy Easter!

Art Impressions/Ruby Rock-It Product Swap!

The Art Impressions Design Team has teamed up with the Ruby Rock-It Design Team today, to bring you a blog hop showcasing products from both companies!  I was fortunate to be able to use the At Last Collection from RRI, so I've paired it up with the Ai Beauty in Progress Set (sku#4240) to make a Spa-themed bridal shower invitation and a couple of matching party favours:

The At Last papers are gorgeous, double sided papers with the most amazing shimmer to them!  It doesn't pick it up in the photos very well, but they all look like they've been sprayed with a shimmer mist.  The colours are mint, a warm peachy tone, and touches of black, taupe and a goldy yellow.

The At Last line also includes Die-cut Borders, so I've used one of the pennant strips to decorate the top of my card.  I cut a pinwheel rosette using a shimmery taupe paper, and added a double organza bow (Bella! Trims) & a button to finish it off.  Here's a closeup of the Spa gals:

I used my Cricut to cut out a cupcake wrapper (okay, it's actually a pumpkin muffin in there...) and another pinwheel rosette on a pick:

Hiding under the sentiment, and wrapped around the cupcake holder are two of the Wedding Die-Cuts and an organdy bow finishes it off.

I cut another little "pie-wedge" box with my Cricut and trimmed it with the At Last papers, a die-cut and a little button & bow.  That's it for me today! Your next stop on the hop is the talented Kerry Kung.  Here is a list of all the hoppers, be sure to leave them all some love:

At The Movies Teacher's Gift

I'm very excited to have my inaugural post on the Art Impressions blog today! I had a lot of fun making my project this week... with the end of the school year upon us, I decided to make a thank you gift set that would be great to give to a teacher. I used the fabulous At The Movies Set -(sku#4237) from the Girlfriends Collection to make the card, then a matching gift card holder for a movie theatre gift card, and finally a cute little popcorn holder that I'll wrap up in cellophane to complete the gift.
I used the lovely Schoolhouse papers from October Afternoon, which inspired my Copic colour choices for the cute Flick Chicks image.  I used my sewing machine to zigzag my background pieces onto my card base.
Before I started, I cut out all of my die cut pieces using my Cricut Artiste cartridge (M key!) which had the cute little popcorn holder, gift card and film strip.  I assembled the popcorn holder and gift card keeper adding a few accents of coordinating paper to finish them off.  I had a great time doing my little photo shoot, and had to be careful not to get any greasy popcorn on my projects!  Here are the Copics that I used to colour up the gals:
Stamp set is At The Movies (sku#4237) by Art Impressions; Patterned papers are Schoolhouse, October Afternoon; Cardstock is Black, Colonial White & Cranberry, CTMH; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Cricut Artiste cartridge, CTMH; Copic Markers.

Quick & Easy Gifts

My daughter & I have been busy getting a few little gift items ready for the last day of school tomorrow... Here are the spa sock cupcakes that she made for her girlfriends; she packaged them up in cello bags, then tied on chocolate dipped marshmallows on a stick:
And then for bus drivers, we wrapped a cute little sleeve around two pouches of hot chocolate, and hung a little tag around another stick of marshmallows (they're not quite as yellow as they look in the photos!):
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, see you in a few days after I take a few off to enjoy some time with my family!
