Candy Cane Season

I wanted this die from the first time I saw it!  I held out for a *short* while, but was excited to add it to my craft supplies.  This is the Candy Cane Season die from Hero Arts.

I found these cute papers from the cute Say Cheese Classic Mouse Christmas papers from Simple Stories, then added a few bits from the Holiday Blooms die set from Spellbinders.  The bow is from All Tied Up dies by The Greetery.

I got six of these done for my stash!  Let the Christmas card making begin in earnest.

Monochromatic Betterpress

These are my second projects with the February Betterpress Society plates, "Bloom with Happiness".

I wanted to do a monochromatic design, so reached for my Simple Stories Colour Vibe 'Winter' paper pad - and each card just takes one sheet.  I pressed the frame onto the plain side of the paper with Distress Oxide inks.  Vintage Photo/Walnut Stain on the taupe card, and Evergreen Bough with a black sentiment on the teal card.  For the taupe version, I used a lighter shade of cardstock for the sentiment, as it was getting a little lost against the background.

After die cutting out the middles, I used the negative to press the sentiments.

The remaining strip of paper was glued to the card base with the dots face up.  The frames and sentiments were adhered with 1mm foam adhesive, and this made a huge difference!  The shadow created really highlights the pretty floral frame.

You can't really see in the photo, but I inked the centers of the flowers on the taupe card with my Lisa Horton Crafts metallic gold ink.  You could also use a gold gel pen.  *You can get a subscription to the Betterpress Society through the Papercrafter's Workshop.

Winter Farmhouse

I've been hoarding the Winter Farmhouse papers from Simple Stories for a LONG time!  But I am slowly trying to use them up.  I had precut the tag, and had the bits and pieces from Spellbinders Holiday Blooms die set already on my craft desk... so this card was born.

The Joy is an old Memory Box die that has been in my stash forever... and the little gold strip was cut off of a panel that I'd run through my Minc machine this weekend.

This is one of the rare times that I haven't added foam tape to a card!  It'll be a good one to mail.

Warm & Wonderful

Squeaking in a last minute entry into the 2024 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop this afternoon!  I did an updated version of a card I made last year, using the lovely Warm & Wonderful stamp and die set from The Greetery.  I love it paired with the Winter Farmhouse papers from Simple Stories so put a couple of cards together today (the second one's not quite finished... we'll see if it gets posted).

More stamping than I've done in a while with this one!  But so worth it.  I used Distress Oxide inks with the help of my Misti to line everything up.

A few Champagne pearls from Pinkfresh Studio finished it off.

Holiday Blooms

 I had die cut a bunch of pieces from my Spellbinder's Holiday Blooms set this fall, and was happy to make some of them up into a card.  I've used a mix of products today: the wood slice is from The Greetery, sentiment & banner are Art Impressions, and the paper is older Simple Stories.

Still more Coffee Cards

They are my favourite kind of card to make!  I loved using the Warm & Wonderful set from The Greetery, along with the Winter Farmhouse papers from Simple Stories, that I kept going, and made 6 more.  I had stamped multiples when I first used this set, so I had fun mixing and matching papers to get these put together.

Winter Farmhouse Part 2

 Here are my other two cards featuring Simple Stories' Winter Farmhouse papers:

This warm gold gingham paper looks amazing with the faded aqua birch tree paper!  I added a chocolate diecut wreath, and cut my word die from a mat-gold cardstock (has more of a shimmer to it), and added some mat gold Nuvo drops.

I am a sucker for a good snowflake patterned paper!  It stayed as the focus of my card, and I used one of the preprinted sentiment squares popped up with 3D foam adhesive, with a few diecut snowflakes as the only embellishment.  Here's a look at what I got put together - happy to have 10 more Christmas cards in my stash.

Winter Farmhouse

 I adore these Simple Stories papers!!  I got the Winter Farmhouse collection a year or two ago... and have not pulled it out until now (gasp).  I love using patterned paper for Christmas cards, so I created four different designs, and will share two today, and two tomorrow.

The larger prints on today's cards are what drew me to this paper pack - I love that dusty aqua colour, and when it's paired with the wine and forest green - happy sigh.  I used a sentiment set from Reverse Confetti, stamped on some light kraft paper, and added a few die cuts.  I got 6 of these made!

I will post the other two, and a group shot here tomorrow.

Say it With Stamps

 I love the Say it With Stamps line from Photoplay!  They are word die sets that come with a matching stamp set of the same word image, along with coordinating phrases.  I played with them this fall for the Demo Days at the Papercrafter's Workshop, and had a few extras that I made up into 11 more cards for next year:

Each of the word dies comes with a matching 'mat' to frame each word beautifully.  The Joy & Peace are in one set, and the Merry & Christmas are in another.

Each stamp set has the same word image, along with dozens of phrases to accompany the words.  I also have the set of tiny strip dies that come in different lengths to die cut out any phrase you create.

I used the Jingle All the Way papers from Simple Stories, and added a few berries, pine boughs and pinecones, with a few twine bows.  If you look closely you'll see the spatters of white paint that I added to each of my cards.

Freezin' Season

 These Simple Stories papers are some of my favourites!  I needed a few more cards for coworkers this past week, and whipped up 6 different ones with a few sentiments and die cuts:

Quick & easy, but still festive.  I love the non-traditional colours!  Happy Holidays :o)

Farmhouse Christmas

 These Simple Stories Farmhouse Christmas papers get me all inspired to get busy making Christmas cards, so I did... and got 4 of these put together.

Lots of die cuts!  And a little stitching with my sewing machine.  Happy with how they turned out :o)

Snowmen cards

I am doing a lot of TV colouring during our lockdown!  So I've made a point of using my Copics to colour images that I'd stamped previously.  I had these two from Art Impressions ready to go, and paired them with some Simple Stories papers:

Simple Stories Sub Zero

Oh, how I love these papers!  The snowflakes are cream coloured - which is just a little different, and I love the mix of colours.  I used one of the busier patterned papers in the collection to do a fairly simple card with a grouping of die cut greenery:

I give out a bunch of Christmas cards to men that I work with, so this was one of my masculine card designs this year!  The sentiment is an older Close To My Heart one.

Christmas Cheer!

I really love this little bear duo from the Art Impressions #4666 - Christmas Cheer Set!  I've used them a number of times, and I'm not tired of them yet.  Here they are paired with the lovely Sub Zero papers from Simple Stories:

 The bears are coloured with Copic markers and die cut with a stitched square die, then mounted to the base with pop dots.

And Two More...

Here is my second set of cards that made it into Creative Scrapbooker Magazine's current issue (page 125!) plus a couple of bonus coordinating cards.  Stamp set is Snow Friend Set (Sku #5041) from Art Impressions:

 As always, my inspiration comes from my papers... and I just adore these prints from Simple Stories.  The base is cream, and the snowflakes are all sorts of funky colours that I pulled out to use on my snowmen with Copic markers.

 I try to sneak in some stitching with my sewing machine wherever possible.  The next two cards were not published, the snowman is a variation of the previous card, and all of these were made for Art Impressions to have in their booth at the Mixed Media show this past summer.

 I love this dark grey snowflake paper, so I used it us a wintry sky with the sweet little birdhouse & cardinals.
