M is for Martinis and Metallic Cardstock

Finishing up the Alphabet Soup summer challenge letters in the Papercrafter's Inner Circle Facebook group.

This is the Olive Martinis die set from Spellbinders, cut in various metallic cardstocks.  I made two regular martinis, and two espresso martinis!

The papers are the very pretty In Bloom pack from My Mind's Eye - I've had them for years!  They brought just the right amount of glam to my cards.

Happy to have four more in my stash (but these are probably going to be gifted!)

Gingerbread Martini

 I've made my last martini cards for the year!  I hadn't had a chance to use the little gingerbread man or the Santa hat yet, so I put together a couple of these in a bright & pretty colour combo.

This is the Olive Martinis set, with the Christmas Cocktails add-on, and the Betterpress Cheers Sentiments, all from Spellbinders.

I used some old patterned paper from my stash, and die cut a smaller rectangle from it that I layered over two other pieces of cardstock so that it was raised up from the base.  I used glitter cardstock for the glass, and added a few gems for some sparkle.

Halloween Martini card

This was my first project with the October Betterpress Society plate, 'Twinkle Tidings'.  It's pretty clearly a Christmas plate, but I got it in my head that I should see if I could make it a Halloween card.  I was going for 'Pretty Halloween' with my colour combo:

I used four Distress Oxide inks along with the coordinating stencils to colour the plate, then used Hickory Smoke and Black Soot to add a grungy look to the edges.

I'm using the Olive Martinis die set from Spellbinders to make a sparkly Halloween martini - cutting the glass out of black glitter cardstock, and the other bits from cardstock that coordinated with my ink colours.

And yes, I made the little olive dies into eyeballs, drawing on some pink veins with a Twintone marker.  The sentiment is from the Cheers Sentiments press plate that coordinates with the Martini dies, and was popped up on 3D foam adhesive.  A few black gems finished it off.

A Merry Little Cocktail

 I've pulled out my favourite 'Olive Martinis' set to make some Christmas cocktail cards.

I ink blended on my white card base, and ran it through my die cut machine with the Starshine Background piercing plate for a little subtle texture.  The glass is cut from Brushed Gold cardstock, and all of the other bits (from the Christmas Cocktails die set) were from papers in my stash.

The sentiment is pressed with my Betterpress machine, using the Cheers Sentiments, and I added a glitter halo behind it.  Santa's hat fur and the mint are also cut from white glitter cardstock.  All products are from Spellbinders.

Floral Martini

I think I warned you that there would be plenty of martini card posts!  I made two more cards this week using the Olive Martinis die set from Spellbinders.

I only took photos of one of them, but they were fairly similar.  I wanted to try a different look, using some busier background papers, so the floral paper is from the Hello Gorgeous pad, an older one by My Mind's Eye that I had in my stash.  It matched perfectly with a bunch of the die cut bits that I already had ready to go.

A few accessories are from the Christmas Cocktails add on die set, and the sentiment is the Betterpress Cheers Sentiments set (love these!).

New Espresso Martinis

 Along with the martini cards that I posted yesterday... I made four more Espresso Martini cards, two of each colour

The die sets are Olive Martinis and Christmas Cocktails for the bow.  

The sentiments are from the Cheers Sentiments Betterpress plate.

The pierced background is the Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die from Altenew.  I really love how it gives some subtle background interest.

You Had Me at Martini

Such a great sentiment!  My last batch of martini/drink cards were a huge hit, so I've created another bunch.

This time I wanted to do more of a traditional martini, with olives and traditional garnishes, and went for a more muted palette (kind of loving these softer colours lately!).  This is the Olive Martinis die set, the bow is from the Christmas Cocktails set, and the sentiment is from the Cheers Sentiments Betterpress set.

I used the Starshine Background piercing coverplate as the background, and played around with the colours a little to make two similar versions.

All products today are from Spellbinders.

Espresso Martinis

And now for the Martini Trifecta... these are the Espresso Martini version of the Olive Martinis die set from Spellbinders.

A few are just with regular cardstock, but for most of these, I used the Pearlescent Cardstock from Craft Perfect by Tonic Studios - it's a lovely subtle glimmer!  As a result of the shimmer, I kept the design fairly simple, adding just a bow or a few sequins to my cards.

Patterned papers are from an older October Afternoon pack, and the taupe dot is a Simple Stories Colour Vibe paper.

The sentiments are from the Cheers Sentiments Betterpress plate set from Spellbinders.  What a seriously fun week putting all my martini cards together (scroll down to see the tropical versions I created earlier this week).  Thanks again to Sheri at The Papercrafter's Workshop for bringing this in for me!

Lemon Lime Martinis

Is that even a thing?  'Lemontini' sounds like a legitimate drink name... so we'll go with that.  This is the lemon/lime version of the last card I posted, I've done the same layout in slightly different colours, and created a beachside backdrop for my glass to sit on.

This time I've used Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks for my drink colours, and on my die cuts.  The glass is cut from Majestic Gold Pearlescent Cardstock from Tonic studios, for some subtle glimmer.

Once again, I've used the Cheers Betterpress Sentiments and Olive Martinis dies from Spellbinders, the Dried Citrus die from The Greetery, and the flowers and foliage are the Fall Vault Wreath dies from Sizzix & Tim Holtz.
