Simple is Good.

Sometimes a simple card is a good thing... at this time of year, with so many cards to make, I need to remember that they don't all have to have "stuff" on them!  So I kept this week's Heart2Heart Challenge card fairly simple, with just a touch of bling.
Here was our sketch:
All supplies are CTMH: Patterened papers are Jingle; Cardstock is Cotton Candy & White Daisy; Stamp set is Just for the Holidays; Ink is Juniper; Prisma Glitter.

Mojo Monday #217

I had fun with some non-traditional papers from Jillibean's Soup for this week's Mojo Monday sketch...  I chose the square option, and mine is 5 1/2" square.  I used some Liquid Glass to glue down the Baker's twine to make a little garland on the tree, and added a bit of bling :o)

Patterned papers are Jillibean's Soup, and Believe, CTMH; Cardstock is Chocolate, Cotton Candy & Colonial White, CTMH; Inks are Chocolate & Topiary, CTMH; Stamp set is Just For the Holidays, CTMH; Chocolate ribbon & sparkles are CTMH; Baker's Twine is from The Twinery; Spellbinder's die.

Workshop cards

Here are cards 3, 4 & 5 from this weekend's workshop... The ladies made 2 of each (including the 2 I posted last week).  There is a little trail of sparkles under the feet of the reindeer to look like snow, and I added a bit of bling to the snowflakes as well.  We had a little ink oops on the circle card sample at the workshop (so just ignore that!).
Reindeer card: Patterned papers are Mistletoe; Stamp set is Nature's Gift; Ink is Chocolate; Cardstock is Colonial White & Chocolate; Striped ribbon, hemp & button - all supplies are CTMH.
Joy card: Patterned papers are Everlasting; Stamp sets are promo font & Just for the Holidays; Inks are New England Ivy - all CTMH.
Circle card: Patterned paper is Believe; Cardstock is Topiary & Colonial White; Stamp set is A Holiday; Inks are Topiary & Black; Twill tape & Red Sparkles - all CTMH.

Two Challenges

I'm combining this week's Heart2Heart Challenge (gift items) and the Color Throwdown Challenge.  I made a set of Christmas gift tags that I'm giving as a hostess gift next weekend.  Sometimes I think that tags take longer to make than cards!  But it was fun.  Here is our colour inspiration:
Patterned papers are Mistletoe, & Mistletoe Creative Basics; Cardstock is Cocoa, New England Ivy, Cranberry & Colonial White; Stamp sets are Just for the Holidays, Christmas Melodies & New Fallen Snow; Inks are Cranberry, Cocoa, Desert Sand & New England Ivy - all CTMH; Michael's ribbon, kraft paper; Martha Stewart punch, Stickles.

Play Date Cafe Challenge #58

This was SOOO much harder than I expected it to be!  Red & White - how hard can that be??  When I dug through my paper stash, and found that most of my holiday stuff was red/white&green... or distressed red & cream... I became quite determined to do a fairly pristine red & white card :o)  So I went with some Jingle patterned papers, taught myself how to make a folded medallion, and pulled out the sewing machine.  Even though I quite like my card, it's not Christmassy enough for me...  I may glitter it up a bit.  Here's our Play Date Cafe inspiration:
Patterned papers are Jingle; Cardstock is White Daisy & Tulip; Stamp sets are Evergreen & Just for the Holidays; - all CTMH.

Color Throwdown Challenge #117

This week's Color Throwdown Challenge colours had a wonderfully soft feeling for me - so I tried to stay with that in my card.  The sparkles are more of a glittery taupe in real life, but they look a bit goldish in the photo:
Cardstock is kraft (Michael's) & bamboo; Patterned paper is Mistletoe; Stamp sets are Festive Frills & Just for the Holidays; Ink is Desert Sand - all CTMH
