Mother's Day Inspiration at Heart2Heart Challenges

It's Mother's Day week at the Heart2Heart Challenges blog!  Show us your cards, your gifts or your layouts - whatever you're making for the ladies in your life.  After losing my Mom a few years ago, my Dad has remarried a lovely lady who loves neutral colours, so I've made a not-so-typical Mother's Day card using the neutral Bliss papers paired with Sky Blue for my Stepmom.  This colour combo was used by the wonderful creative team at CTMH's head office at the Toronto Regional celebration - and it is quite gorgeous in person.  I was also inspired by a card recently made by Lisa Aquino (a very talented consultant)...  Here's what I've come up with:

Our 2" scalloped punch makes amazing paper flowers!  I used 2 layers of scrunched up patterned paper glued onto a piece of scalloped choclate cardstock that was also punched.

All supplies are CTMH - Patterned papers are Bliss; Stamp set is Universal Backgrounds; Ink is Chocolate; Cardstock is Chocolate, Sky Blue & Colonial White; Natural Hemp; Chocolate button; Cocoa Grosgrain ribbon; 2" scalloped punch      Angel Shifflett & Sharon Holmes are our May sponsors - so be sure to enter the challenges all month long for a chance to win one of their prizes, or to be chosen as one of our monthly Top Ten.  Check out what each of the Heart2Heart Design Team have to show you:

Your card is so soft and pretty! I love the neutral colors with the punch of blue, and I'm sure she will too.

Karen, your card is beautiful! I'm sure your dad's wife will love it. I know how hard Mother's Day probably is for you. I have struggled every Father's Day since losing my Dad almost 20 years ago. It is a good day to remember all of the wonderful things about your mom!
Big Hugs,
Lisa
