Glitter & Shimmer Challenge

The Art Impressions Design Team are all sharing projects today for the current challenge on the Ai blog: "Glitter & Shimmer Challenge"!  I am bling-challenged at the best of times!  But I can definitely add a little sparkle now and then.  Today I am sharing three cards made with one of the Shake Your Booty sets called Dancer Set (Sku #4308):
These were fun to put together.  I coloured them all up with different skin tones/hair colour, then paper pieced their outfits.  The circles & sentiments are popped up on pop dots, and a few adhesive sparkles were added.  Here are some close ups:
The "Glamorous" sentiment is from the Pamper Yourself clear stamp set that is available at Hobby Lobby stores.

One thing that I almost NEVER do, is to have a plain white card base?!  And this is the second one that I've done in the last few weeks.  These plaid papers just look so fresh & clean paired up with white.  And of course, I need to show you the inside - where her tush has been paper pieced, cut out and put onto an Action Wobble so that her booty shakes.
*Have you seen the new Mini Wobbles??  You can find them here in the Art Impressions store!
 Copics used: Skin tones - E11, E00, E000, E37, E34, E31, E53, E51, E50, R20, R30
Hair - Y26, Y23, E50, E18, E08, E02, C7, C5, C3, B21

Got Style?

Hello Ai fans!
I'm using another of the wonderful stamps that are available at Michael's through Hampton Art - SC0678:
I had fun paper piecing their outfits... I had to pull out my Exacto knife to cut out the hand on the middle gal!  I just adore their hats and poses - there's a little bit of style & attitude going on here :o)
The set comes with two images and seven sentiments, so here's the one I put on the inside:
Happy stamping!

Mojo Monday #459

I had this image sitting on my craft desk, all coloured up and ready to go... so I pulled out the same papers I've used with it in the past, and made up a card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  Here is Jean from Art Impressions:

Patterned paper is Springtime from Doodlebug Designs, Cardstock is Bazzill and Close To My Heart; Copic Markers; Stamps are Jean and Not Deaf by Art Impressions; YNS Gumdrops; Ink is Memento Tuxedo Black and Onyx Black by Versafine.

Still Sizzlin'

Art Impressions is having a "Sweet Summertime" card challenge on the Ai blog, so the Design Team are all sharing cards today.  I have one of the cute Golden Oldies stamp sets to share, here is Bbq Couple (Sku #3478):
I did a little paper piecing on the aprons and her dress, and both the images and sentiments are raised up on pop dots.
The sentiment is Sizzlin (Sku #3473):
Come and check out the challenge - and be sure to link up your own creation, there are always fabulous prizes to be won!

In The Bag

I wanted to do something a little different for my Art Impressions post today... so I decided to do a circle card, and then wanted to make it a more interesting shape, so I ended up using my Cricut to cut a flower shape from some patterned paper.  My image from In The Bag (Sku # 4729) fit perfectly as a circle in the center:
Then I decided to make it into an easel card:
 Here's a back view:

I hope you're loving the newly released Ai Stackers from Art Impressions as much as I am!  They're a hoot to colour, and the die makes assembly so easy.  Here is Duck Stackers (Sku #4738):
I made a flip version of my card, and switched up the stripes:
And here it is with the pull tab pulled out of it's slot:
