Meow-lloween!

By now I'm sure you've seen the fabulous new Halloween images that Art Impressions has come out with for 2016, and I have a few of them to share today!  Here are three cards using Meow-lloween Set (Sku #4786):

These were such fun images to colour!  I used a mix of patterned papers, cutting a couple of rectangles on the diagonal, and using them for a couple of cards.
And this is what I call a 'Simple Spinner Card' - unlike the Ai Spinners that have a front and back image that spin around, this is just a single image that I cut out with an oval die, and then mounted some patterned paper onto the backside, after sandwiching a piece of thread down the middle.  I used my next largest oval die to cut an opening in my card base, and suspended my little oval in the middle of it.  (So you can turn just about any image into a spinner!)

Now is a great time to check out all of the Halloween images that are available in the Ai store, and get started on your Halloween crafting!

Happy Birthday, Lora!!

Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday dear Lora
Happy Birthday to You……………………..
Lora, the High Hopes Rubber Stamps and One Crazy Stamper DT Divas along with some very Special guests are doing a Birthday Wishes Blog Hop to celebrate your birthday.
I made a fun 3D card for Lora using Art Impressions' Birthday Fairy Set, I gave her a sparkly wand, added some Wink of Stella to her earrings, and her skirt is on an Action Wobble to make her do a little Birthday Boogie for Lora :o)
I met Lora about four years ago when a friend took me shopping to the One Crazy Stamper store - and I've been a regular there ever since!  I'm lucky that I'm just a short drive away.  She's such a genuine person - a few years ago when she heard that my 14 year old daughter had a cupcake business, she immediately ordered a crazy amount of cupcakes (6 dozen?) for a crop event that she was hosting - simply because she wanted to support a young entrepreneur.  She has been very encouraging to me personally, asking me to be on her design team, to teach classes at the store, and to demo at trade shows.  The thing that I most admire about her is that she is a savvy business owner, who keeps growing and changing her business, and who still has a deep love for the art of stamping.  Happy Birthday, Lora!

Hop along, be inspired and don’t forget to leave a birthday wish for Lora on the One Crazy Stamper and/or High Hopes Rubber Stamps blogs. Here is our hop list for today - your next stop is Dina Gerner's blog!

Too Cute to Spook

The Art Impressions Design Team are all sharing inspiration today using the three newly released Ai Halloween clear sets!  They're all divine, scroll down to see a graphic showing them all.  I am using the Old Bat Set (Sku #4784), which has two of the most hilarious images - plus three small accent images and three sentiments:
As soon as I saw her, I knew I'd be showing her popped up over a nice golden moon.. so here is the Old Bat in all her glory :o)  For my second card, I made a sunset/night sky background using my Distress Inks and sponge applicators:
I have to give a shout out to my crafty friend, Donna - for giving me a few tips and some confidence to get using my distress inks for the background!  The witch, moon & sentiment are all popped up on pop dots, and I added a sprinkling of tiny sparkles as my stars. These are all available now from the Ai website:
I'll be back soon with more Halloween projects to share.  Our current challenge on the Ai blog is "Too Cute to Spook" - we want to see your Halloween creations!  Copics used in today's bat card:

Beach Babes

***THIS JUST IN!!***
I have exciting news for you - while I was getting today's card ready to post, I got an email from Kate telling us that the clear sets that up until now have been available exclusively at Michaels and Hobby Lobby - are going to be available on the Ai website as of this Thursday!!  This is exciting news for International crafters, or those of you who may not be near a Michaels or Hobby Lobby store!  Be sure to check out the website this Thursday the 25th to see all of these amazing sets you'll want to scoop up!  And now, back to our regularly scheduled post...
Summer really is marching right along, isn't it?  So while the weather is still lovely & warm... I wanted a chance to use Art Impressions Beach Babes (SC0653) clear acrylic set that is available through Hampton Art at Michael's stores.  I've used two of the three images and one of the five sentiments that come in the set:

I just love this high-maintenance gal...  I added some Star Dust Stickles to the bling on her finger, and used pop dots under the sun & sentiment.  She's coloured with Copic markers, and I added the suggestion of blue sky around her, and sand under her beach chair.  Happy stamping!

Doctor Bill Get Well card

I have a fairly quick and simple Get Well card to show you today - one you could make up quickly, or whip up a few to have on hand for when they're needed.  I started by colouring up the Doctor Bill set (Sku #4099) from Art Impressions:
I kept the layers to a minimum (for me!!) and kept the design quite simple.  Even the number of Copics needed to colour up the image was minimal - all making for a quick & easy card.

 Copics used: E11, E00, E000, R20, R30, BG77, BG74, BG73, BG71, E55, E53, E51, C1, B000, B0000
