Art Impressions at Michaels

I am sharing three cards that I made using one of the two new Art Impressions Christmas stamp sets that you can find in Michael's stores right now...

There are three fun images, and three great sentiments in this set.  Here's the tangled kitty:
And this is my absolute favourite image in the set, because it reminded me of a Charlie Brown Christmas tree:

I used all kinds of patterned papers, a few snowflake die cuts and some clear grey acrylic gems.
Happy stamping!

Simple Christmas

It was a productive day on the cardmaking front!  I was able to complete 6 Christmas cards, and have 2 more cut and ready to assemble - go me!  I am also making an effort to use papers from my stash, so here is a simple Christmas card that is using some Basic Grey paper from a year or so ago:
Patterned papers are Eskimo Kisses and Urban Prairie, by Basic Grey; Cardstock is Ruby, CTMH; Stamp is This is Christmas, CTMH; Ink is Rich Cocoa, Memento; Twine is American Crafts; Vintage Ornament die, Spellbinders.

New Art Impressions at Michaels

The Art Impressions Design Team are all sharing projects today, made with the two newest Ai stamp sets that are now available at Michaels through Hampton Art.  I'm showing this little penguin trio from SC0716 Ai Penguins:
I've coloured them with my Copic Markers, popped them up on pop dots over some patterned paper and added a few enamel gumdrops.  It is actually gold foil tape that appears as the two horizontal stripes - they just don't photograph very shiny - here's another shot that shows it a bit better:
Here's a peek at what the sets look like:
We have a new challenge over on the Ai blog - we want to see your holiday creations using red & green.  Head on over to the blog to link up your creation, and you can see what the other Design Team members have created.

Happy Stamping!

Viva La Verve

Yay - finally a little me time to work on some personal Christmas cards, and a chance to play along with some challenges!  I've used the November Week 2 sketch from VLV Sketches, and the Rustic Winter theme for the Nov Inspiration Challenge on the Verve Blog:
I used some old Basic Grey papers that were kicking around my craft room, and used my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the stars.  You can't see in the photo, but I used my clear Wink of Stella on the star and to outline the word "brightly" - gives it a little glimmer.  I haven't distressed a card in a while, so had fun grunging up the edges a bit, and used my sewing machine around the circle & banner.  The stamp set is Verve's Peace on Earth.

Holly Jolly

I have a couple of sweet reindeer cards to share today, using one of the newly released Art Impressions Christmas stamp sets: Holly Jolly Set (Sku #4667)
After colouring him several times with my Copic markers, I fussy cut them out, and mounted them with some foam tape over several circle die cuts.  I wanted to add a little glitz, so I used some gold foil tape on one, and added some gold thread under the other.
For a little extra shimmer, I put some clear Wink of Stella on their bells and noses!
There are three images and two sentiments in the Holly Jolly set - you can see them all here.  We hope you'll join in with our current challenge on the Ai blog - our theme is Be Merry!  We want to see your festive creations - and you just might win a prize...  Happy stamping!
