Art Impressions Top 3 of 2014

 The Design Team are all sharing their top 3 creations from 2014 on the Art Impressions blog this week... and I had a riot putting this together, as it meant looking back through EVERY card that I've posted this year.  Let me tell you... it was tough to get down to my final 3 choices - since Art Impressions has so many wonderful images to choose from.  Funny enough, they all ended up being "Girlfriends" cards... which are all larger images that involve a lot of colouring.  That may by why they are personal favourites, as there is a lot of love and effort put into each one of them.  In no particular order, here are my top 3 for 2014:
I want to thank all of the Design Team members that I've worked with this year - you're a wonderfully talented, inspiring group of gals.  Huge thanks to Kate our fabulous DT coordinator, and wearer of many Ai hats; and to the entire Ai crew - you're a fabulous company to work with, and of course you have the best images in the business :o)  And another big thank you to all of you who visit the Ai blog and leave such sweet comments - we appreciate them, and hope that you get a little inspiration along the way.  Best wishes to everyone for a happy, healthy and crafty 2015.

Masculine Birthday cards

I am in need of several masculine birthday cards for a couple of nephews over the next while, so I took advantage of a snow day yesterday (we got 14"!) to get them made.  I used a new Avery Elle die to embed the "happy" into my card front and added a few arrow die cuts for decoration.  Easy peasy.

Patterned papers are Lauderdale, Basic Grey; Cardstock is Ruby, Pear & Sunshine, CTMH; Stamp set is Happy Birthday, CTMH; Dies are Simply Said Happy Die, Avery Elle and Shoot! by Spellbinders.

Holiday Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

I had so much fun participating in the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop back in September, that I was thrilled to see that Amy Tsuruta came back with round two this week with the Holiday Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!
I made four cards for the last hop, then added a fifth shortly afterwards, and today is my sixth and final coffee card that I have made as a gift set to give to my boss for Christmas.  I will be putting it with a bag of coffee beans, and have made a little holiday gift tag to go with it.  Scroll down to see the whole set!  First, here is today's card, using this week's Mojo Monday sketch:

This is probably my favourite card set that I've ever made :o)  Hopefully my boss will enjoy them.  If you're a coffee card fan like myself... check out my Coffee Card board on Pinterest here.
I am also entering this into the December Diva Dare on the Verve blog;

Products used: Papers are Farmhouse by October Afternoon; Kraft and Colonial White cardstock, CTMH; Stamp sets are Coffee and Sweet Treats, Verve; Dies are Coffee, Tagged Rectangle, Mini Classy Label and Coffee Cups - all Verve; Inks are Rich Cocoa, Memento and Champagne, Heavenly Blue & Honey, CTMH;

 This is such a great image - and I loved colouring it up in the bright colours.  This would be perfect for our current Ai challenge, which is "Feeling Frosty!" - we would love to have you join us, so be sure to link up your creation here.

Elf Shaker card

Hello!  I am sharing a square card on the One Crazy Stamper blog today, featuring one of the new Art Impressions Shakers stamp sets: Elf Shaker Set (Sku# 4513):
The set includes 3 stamps, the entire elf, just the present, and the sentiment "Have your 'elf' a merry little Christmas".  You stamp and colour the entire elf, stamp and colour the present and fussy cut around it - then you put the present on an Action Wobble and adhere it on top of the present on the main image.  When you either shake the card, or flick the present with your finger, it wobbles back and forth as though the elf is shaking the present.  CUTE!!

Each stamp set also includes one Action Wobble, but you can pick up more of them in the One Crazy Stamper store so that you can use the set over and over.  Happy stamping!

December One Crazy Stamper Challenge

Hello everyone!  It is the first of the month, which means the launch of a brand new challenge on the One Crazy Stamper blog!  The Design Team has created projects to inspire you and get you started on your December crafting, so head on over to the OCS blog to check them all out, and you can link up your project while you're there.  I'm using the Holiday Wishes set by Art Impressions for my card:
The set comes with the Santa image that I've used, as well as a sweet reindeer, and the sentiment "Warmest Holiday Wishes" which I've stamped on the inside.  Lora has an amazing stock of holiday stamps, papers and embellies in the One Crazy Stamper store, so you'll want to head over there to check it out (She's lightning fast with shipping, too!)
